About this Cook
I am a happily divorced mom of 2 teenage boys (18 & 19) and ex-stepmom to 2 girls (13 & 20) for the past 12 years. I lost my mother 5 years ago to cancer but she did leave me with some great cooking secrets. Sad to say mom had skill but forgot to pass to me!! I'm a tad clumsy but I can cook!! :) Don't expect I'll be doing any demonstrations anytime soon~
My favorite things to cook
I like to cook things that are fast and easy! New things are a favorite for me to try but sometimes not to my family! They like more than they dislike. I also love to bake!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Gathering the family together on the Holidays....Also eating dinner as a family which is not done so much anymore in this fast paced world we live in.
My cooking triumphs
When a new creation or recipe comes together and looks like the picture! :)
My cooking tragedies
Chocolate chip cookies.... One day last year for some reason, I was unable to make a good chocolate chip cookie! No matter what recipe I followed, they turn out horrible. Not so much in taste but in texture. I have given up trying!! They turn our cake like NO MATTER what I do! I will never figure out what happened....It just happened and has not been right since. What I lack in chocolate chip I make up for in other cookies!!

Egg Noodles
Eventhough they take a little bit of time (dry time included) these are awesome... I have never made noodles before but now I can do it all the time! WOW!

Chocolate Eclair Dessert
Great Dessert. I used 2 larger boxes and less milk only because I didn't pay attention to what size boxes I had! It still turned out awesome. Instead of using frosting I mixed some homemade chocolate syrup and melted chocolate chips and spread on the top. I layered vanilla wafer cookies on the bottom with the graham crackers. I think next time I will use only the vanilla wafers and see what I get. Will make again and again. Thanx for the post!!

Grandpa's Special Stuffing
This recipe is awesome! I've made it 2 times in the past week. I left out the prosiutto and only used 6 eggs...The first time I made it I used 4 eggs. This reminds me of a stromboli. I gave it 4 stars because of its texture....Not so fluffy but I will experiment with it and see if I can get it to be more fluffy. Will be something I make a lot of regardless.
