Texas Rice

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2012
I prepared it as written, and added some ClubHouse TexMex seasoning, but we still found it bland. It needs something else. It was okay, but not very exciting. I will have to tweak it if I make it again.

Almond Chicken Stir-Fry

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2011
This was pretty good. I made it as is, except used a bit less chicken as I was making it for just the two of us. Kept the sauce amount as indicated though, so it worked out well. I used another reviewer's suggestion and added mandarin oranges. I added them on top of the stir-fry once it was in the plate, and it really was a great combination. Will try this one again for sure!

Bacon Cheeseburger Rice

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2011
This was okay. I think it would have been better if I had used regular bbq sauce. I only had garlic bbq sauce on hand, so I think that made it taste a bit off. The dill pickles are a nice touch, and tasted really great in the mixture. I will try it again with the regular sauce to see if it makes a difference.

Brooklyn Girl's Penne Arrabiata

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2011
Wow! Spicy!! We aren't crazy about dishes that are too hot, so I modified. I cut the red pepper flakes to a little less than 1/2 tsp. I also cut the garlic in half and used almost a full cup of tomato sauce. Besides that, I prepared the sauce as directed, and it was delicious. I agree with others, 1 egg and 1 cup of bread crumbs is plenty. I crushed flavoured croutons instead of using plain bread crumbs. I topped the pasta with fresh grated Parmesan cheese...mmmm!! Hubby loved it, and asked to have it added to our recipe collection.

Beefy Hash Brown Bake

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2011
This was good! My husband, the picky eater, even went for seconds, so I knew it was a hit. I used the large hash browns (Cavendish Farms Chunky Diced Potatoes). I omitted the oil, and just lightly coated my casserole dish with cooking spray. I seasoned the hash browns with Club House Italiano Seasoning and increased the initial cook time for the potatoes to 30 minutes. Instead of frozen mixed vegetables, I used 1/2 cup of chopped yellow pepper, 1/2 cup of chopped red pepper and 1 cup green beans. This not only tasted good, but made the dish very colorful! I may double the sauce the next time, as I found there wasn't enough for the potatoes. The leftovers were even better! This will definitely make it to our table again! Thanks for the recipe!

Cranberry Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2010
This recipe was really good. Of course, I modified it a little. I browned the chicken in some olive oil with Club House Italiano and Garlic Plus seasonings, and then cut the baking time in the oven to 25 minutes. I also put extra stuffing mix and cranberries. Hubby loved it, so in the receipe box it goes!

One-Pan Taco Dinner

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2009
WOW!!! This is SOOOOO easy and quick. I used green onion instead of lettuce and quartered cherry tomatoes. I served it with a small amount of restaurant style sour cream. It was delicious. My husband just loved it! This will be a repeat meal for sure. Great for busy families.

Saucy Beef Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2009
This recipe was pretty good. I did make modifications. Skipped the onion (hubby hates them). Added fresh garlic when ground beef was cooking. Skipped the condensed vegetable soup. Opted to put tomato sauce and some fresh veggies (yellow beans, green peppers, baby corn). The chow mein noodles gave it a different twist, which we enjoyed. I've been looking for different meal ideas, and this was certainly different. I think I'll try it with chicken next time.

Famous Butter Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2009
Wow! Excellent recipe. Like others, I made a few changes. I lightly sprayed the bottom of the baking dish with cooking spray, and skipped the butter. I added 1 tbsp of Italian seasoning and 1-2 tbsp or parmesan cheese to the crushed crackers. Instead of using garlic salt, I used 1 tsp of Garlic Plus (Club House). Thanks for the recipe!

Campbell's® 15-Minute Chicken and Rice Dinner

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2008
This one is perfect when you are short on time. I butterfly cut the chicken breast so they cook even quicker. I added some Club House Tex-Mex seasoning to give it a kick. Great for the busy family.

Cabbage Roll Casserole

Reviewed: May 15, 2008
This recipe is great and so much easier than traditional cabbage rolls. I added a large can of diced tomatoes, 2 tsp of brown sugar and a dash of lemon juice. It's great served with cheddar cheese and makes fantastic left overs.
