My husband and I
About this Cook
I am a 24 year Occupational Therapist at a Rehab Hospital, married for 2 years, and trying to find time to keep up with this cooking scene! I've been baking since I was little, but I'm learning how to come up with new dinners that keep me excited to make them!
My favorite things to cook
I love trying out new things, so I love this website. I tend to go for things with higher ratings because I don't like to get disappointed! Favorite things: Pies, Desserts, Chicken, Baked ziti... Anything that someone asks me to make again! My husband gets mad that I rarely make the same thing again. I have to use the recipe box option or I forget I've even made something :)
My favorite family cooking traditions
Every fall I like to make a pear pie. When I lived with my parents, I would use the pears in our backyard, but the store ones are usually just as good! I also love making this fabulous carrot cake (I should share the recipe!) for Christmas.
My cooking triumphs
I am happy anytime I successfully have a dinner for more than four people. Guess that might change as I get older, but for now, that's my triumph!
My cooking tragedies
As I said, I love to bake. Even if I have perfected something, I'll try out a new recipe. But it was a disaster when I tried out the perfect, big, chewy, chocolate chip cookie recipe. Oh well, you can't win them all!

Honey Mustard Sauce
This is amazing!!! My favorite restaurant back in college would serve this to dip a pretzel sandwich in. Never knew it had mayo in it! I used regular mustard and it turned out fine. Thank you SO much for the recipe.

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies
The. Most. Amazing. Cookies. Ever!!! Like others suggested, I added 2T of vanilla (crazy, huh?), 1/2t salt, and stuck the dough in the fridge before scooping. Thanks for the recipe. Makes me feel like a professional cookie maker.

Graham Cracker Bars
AMAZING! With the help of reviewers, I omitted the margarine and cooked for around 20-30min. I made these because how pretty they looked in the picture. I wanted the look of the chocolate chips on top, so I baked without chocolate, then sprinkled some on at the end. I baked for a few minutes and spread that chocolate and put the rest on top. Popped in the oven for a couple more min. Beautiful and SOOO yummy. Make them! Also, I crushed the graham crackers while still in their package and it came out to exactly 2 cups. Easy one bowl dessert.
