Taco Stew

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2014
I did not have beans and corn is off our "approved food" list, so I just added the onions and added green peppers. My family loved adding cheese, sour cream, and then dipped some chips in it as they ate too. It was a hit with the kids and my husband. This is on my monthly meal list. Thank you!

Mom's Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2011
I got a lot of Acorn Squash and some butternut squash from my CSA. So I pureed that and added an equal amount of Pumpkin Pie Spice as the other spices and it turned out very good.

Manhattan Clam Chowder II

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2010
I did not have time to make many changes. My husband had 3 bowls, I had 2, and even my 7 yr old and 2 year old loved it! I would say it was a success. I like simple and good...works for this busy homeschooling mom. Thanks!

Chocolate Frosting I

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2010
I am not a fan of margarine. I like the more natural organic butter. So I substituted them. When I added the milk the butter went back to its more hard form. So I heated it very slightly on the stove until it was melted again and then added the sugar. It worked great...just in case you favor butter like me.

Buttermilk Pancakes II

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2009
My kids have always had box pancakes so I was not sure about them liking these...they loved them. It was a great way to use up the buttermilk leftover after I made butter with the cream from our raw milk. I would do again, but not so much. I put the extra, while warm, in a ziplock and froze for another time. That keeps the moisture in for a thawing in the microwave and warming in the toaster oven.

Mississippi Tea Cakes

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2009
I made some butter from our raw milk, and wanted to use the buttermilk for something. These were good and I will do it again. They are very sweet, so if you so not like sugary cookies you might not favor them. I love them with the milk.

Overnight Apple Cinnamon French Toast

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2008
I used fresh apples instead of a canned pie filling. It was great! I took it to my MOPS meeting and had a request to put it on our Yahoo Group so they could all find it. Thanks!

Lemonade-Mint Iced Tea

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2006
My family loves it! Mint and all. If all you have is sweet instant tea, just don't add sugar. It is still good.
