Slow-Cooked Country Ribs in Gravy

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2010
This was just weird. Even when I thickened the cooking liquid to make a sauce, it didn't really become "gravy," nor did it have any real flavor other than the juice from the meat. You would think with all those strong flavors in the sauce, it would have turned out different. Totally "blah," and kind of embarrassing to serve.

Not as good as the real thing, of course.

Sugar Coated Pecans

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2010
I use 2 egg whites, and add vanilla, and probably end up baking them 15 minutes longer to make sure they are dry and crunchy. These are soo good and they go super quick at social functions!

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2010
The recipe as-is makes for a "blah" pot roast. Following the "most useful" review recommendations, this is great!

Fancy Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2010
I brought this to work for a potluck lunch, and everyone really loved it. Had some red pepper left over from something else, so I added that. I baked some bone-in chicken breast, then shredded that for this salad. It stayed moist, and was a much better consistency than chopped chicken!

Turkey Tetrazzini I

Nothing to write home about--I would not say this is better than anything you can get from a box in the grocery store.

It is hard for me to rate a cookie less than 5 stars, so I won't!

Crab Dip

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2010
Using Noelle's suggestions, this crab dip is very good. I also HIGHLY suggest not using canned crab, unless you are in an area where that is all you can get. As a Marylander, canned crab is a travesty. I use the good stuff--lump crab meat. Definitely serve this warm!

Peach-a-Berry Pie

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2010
Using the "most useful" reviews as a guide, this pie is awesome! I have never made a pie before this, and it was soooo good. Used sugar substitute "for baking" with no problem. The recipe as is does not garner 5 stars.

My go-to green bean recipe for nice dinners or when we have people over. The trick is not to overcook!

Garlic Corn on the Cob

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2010
Pretty good, although corn is great by itself. On a separate note, not related to my rating, I burned these pretty bad on the grill!

Really good flavor, but does not really permeate the meat. Subtle but nice flavor.

Seasoned Turkey Burgers

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2010
This is probably the best turkey burger I have ever had, and is right up there with the best burgers. I loved this burger, although my husband did not. I think it was the turkey, but you could easily switch it up with ground beef!

Annie's Fruit Salsa and Cinnamon Chips

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2010
"Salsa" was a little weird--kind of a mush of flavor. The softer fruits just turned to mush. Chips were great!

Chicken Marsala

I used boneless/skinless chicken tenders for this, and the flavor was awesome! I increased the mushrooms because I am all about mushrooms, but this recipe is perfect as is!

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2010
These are just great, everyone at work loves them. They are a little "different" in texture I think that your traditional Nestle cookies, but not necessarily in a bad way. They are much prettier, don't spread, and are pretty soft.
