Aunt Cora's World's Greatest Cookies

Instead of chocolate chips, I used white chocolate chunks and macadamia nut pieces. They turned out great! The only bad thing I could say about them is that they are very fragile cookies. Soft and yummy but not ideal to box and ship- as I had intended to do. My boyfriend and office mates loved them, however (and ME, too!)

Classic Spanish Sangria

Wow! This was soo great! I used Bacardi White Spiced Rum and a spicy dry red wine. I served it in a glass pitcher and so it was not only yummy but beautiful on the table. This was the perfect touch to my dinner party and I am so glad I came across this recipe!

Pina Colada Cake II

I didn't care for this cake very much. It just tasted like white cake from a mix with a layer of pina colada flavored goo smeared on top. For some reason, I thought the cake was going to soak up the flavored mix and become moist and sweet. That's not what happened at all.

Eggnog Quick Bread

This is a great recipe! I was up late last night baking four batches to hand out at the office as holiday treats! It takes very few ingredients and so is easy to whip up. I baked several small loaves and two large. The smaller seemed to always turn out with the best color and texture. The large ones got a little tough on the outside although I tried not to overhandle the dough. I also made a batch using low fat eggnog which made the bread a little dry. But other than that, the little loaves turned out wonderfully and I have gotten several compliments today. Thanks!!

Honey Bun Cake I

I was wary of this recipe at first because I usually don't like cakes that start with a mix... but this was GREAT!! I know I will make this one again. It's sticky and super sweet, just like a honey bun.

Pumpkin Loaf

This is my favorite pumpkin bread recipe. Always turns out moist. Has a spicy flavor. Even my sister who is a fantastic cook asked for the recipe. This is the bread I bake for gifts.
