Cheddar and Roasted Garlic Biscuits

Easy and tasty! I used Bisquick, and I only had regular chicken broth so I added a couple cloves of minced garlic.

Tasty Meat Pie

I make this regularly and for company, everyone loves it! If I don't have vegetable beef soup on hand I substitute a beef boullion cube in water. And I usually make my own butter pie crust. Delicious!

Carrot Cake III

I follow most of gneebeanie's recommendations, and I LOVE the result. I leave out the pineapple b/c I don't like it and substitute walnuts for pecans. Best carrot cake ever!!!

Buttermilk Potato Fried Chicken

Yum! I was worried it would be bland, so I added some BBQ sauce before dipping in the potato mixture and I used seasoning salt instead of poultry seasoning. Delicious, fried up nice and crispy!

Broccoli Potato Bake

My boyfriend (who loves broccoli) loved it, and I (who doesn't like broccoli) thought it was pretty good. I used frozen broccoli and shredded Russet potatoes; next time I might try chunking the potatoes and adding some spices as other reviewers suggest.

Flounder with Shrimp Sauce

I cooked the flounder for 20 mins and it came out a little dry; next time I'll check it at 15 mins. I thought the sauce was a bit plain, but my boyfriend loved it; I might play around with the spices next time. A very nice recipe!

Strawberries with Balsamic Vinegar

I was curious, so I scaled this down for a single serving with 3 oz of strawberries and tried it with vanilla ice cream. I was a little put off by the occasional whiff of vinegar while eating, but overall it was delicious, just the right amount of sweet. I would definitely make this again, it makes a great homemade strawberry topping!

Herbed Vinegars

So simple and fantastic! I don't go through it very quickly, so I've only made it with rosemary so far. Great as a salad dressing (especially for a Greek-style salad with feta and black olives over spinach!), I've even used it as a marinade for leftover steak/pork.

Double Decker Tacos

Yum. I really just used this for the idea of baking the hard shells and surrounding with soft shells + refried beans (didn't make the guac and used my standard taco fillings). It's awesome, and way more filling than my usual taco dinner. I don't think I'll ever go back to plain tacos!

Crab Stuffed Flounder

Pretty good. I followed the recipe closely but with some extra seasoning (Old Bay in the crab mixture, salt & pepper on the fish). Had to get the right ratio between crab stuffing and fish, otherwise the crab taste overwhelmed. And it could still have used more seasoning.

Strawberry Bread

I took some other reviewers suggestions to halve the cinnamon, reduce the oil a bit, and add 1 tsp of vanilla and more strawberries. I was worried about the dough, it was thick and looked more like cookie dough than the bread dough I'm used to. It also took about one hour to cook in my oven. But the end result is delicious!

Harvard Beets

I had some fresh beets to use and no idea what to do. I subbed apple cider vinegar for the white as another reviewer suggested, and tossed ingredients in without measuring b/c I only had a small amount of beets. And it was actually really good! I think it's important to use small baby beets though, with large beets there's no covering up that dirt-beet flavor.

Nice flavor. As another reviewer noted, they taste better the following day when the flavors have had time to meld. I only cooked my green beans 10 mins and should have gone a few minutes longer.
