Oregon Salmon Patties

As a quick tip, I found 3/4 of a sleeve of Ritz crackers to be the adequate amount to crush. Since it is salmon fishing season here in Seattle WA and my hubs is quite the fisherman, I baked a fresh salmon at 400 degrees for 15 mins and allowed to cool before flaking and de-boning it by hand. Due to the fact it was fresh, I didn't have any canned liquid, so added a TBS of white wine and a TBS of lemon juice. Added some minced garlic while sauteing the onions, a little paprika along with the mustard powder. Don't bother coating in the crackers, just throw all ingredients into a bowl and shape into patties. **A great tip for a sauce to this....take basic tarter sauce, add some dill (fresh or dried), Miracle Whip and lemon juice with some cracked black pepper. It turns into a gourmet sauce:) Made with roasted garlic dill mashed potatoes and it was out of this world!!!

Banana Banana Bread

Awesome....I hate changing recipes and then reviewing them but here we go.... I added 2 tsp vanilla, sprinkled sugar on top before baking (gives it a sweet, crispy crust) and baked for 52 mins. Your oven may be different than mine, but don't over cook.

Blueberry Loaf

Not really sure why there were any issues with this. Made as written, regular loaf pan, fresh berries, 50 mins. I do sprinkle a little sugar on top of any loaves or muffins I make (before baking). It gives a crispy, sweet crust to the top.

Chewy Sugar Cookies

These are to die for. You just can't get a better sugar cookie. We don't like things overly sweet, so these worked out great. The only thing I may do next time is add one more tsp vanilla for a richer flavor, but other than that 5 star!!!

Red Garlic Mashed Potatoes

I don't understand why folks are reviewing this recipe so highly after omitting the sugar. The sugar is the reason I am rating this poorly, as I did in fact make it as written. The steak seasoning flavor was non existent in my dish, and the garlic/sugar mixed like oil and water. There was no flavor fusion here, just different flavors trying to out do each other. Sadly, this was an epic fail for me.

Buffalo Chicken Wings I

Being from Buffalo NY, this is pretty much it. Use Franks Red Hot if ya can, and fry in peanut oil if you have it. Always dip in blue cheese, never ranch!

Baked Chicken Wings

Well...mine didn't get crispy. I tried cooking half on a baking sheet, half on a rack and it didn't matter. Too much olive oil for me, and my husband thought the marinade tasted like oily sand. I'm so sorry, but this recipe didn't fare well for me:(

Debdoozie's Blue Ribbon Chili

This was good, but I didn't find anything extraordinary about it; tasted like regular chili. I liked the idea of adding salsa, saving me some chopping, but my husband asked for more green peppers next time. Nice and easy.... I let it simmer for many hours while I was waiting for the Super Bowl lol. Will make again with some additions.

Easy Chicken Marsala

Easy 5 stars. I was looking for a recipe which didn't dredge the chicken in flour before sauteing it. I also wanted a thicker sauce than the previous marsala sauces I have had. This was spot on. I used evaporated milk in place of the heavy cream in order to save calories, and I doubled the sauce. This is really a great recipe!

Buffalo Chicken Wing Sauce

I was born and raised in Buffalo and traditionally, Buffalonians will only mix butter and Franks to create a sauce (strictly Franks depending on heat desired). That being said, this stuff is pretty spot on to Buffalo Wild Wings sauce. I just completed their "Blazin Wild Wing Challenge" and it was rough lol! All in all, great sauce, sure to be loved by all looking for a hot wing. As to compliment, Rooties Blue Cheese dressing should be used, but Ken's chunky will work in a pinch. It's been 2 weeks since this review and I owe the author an apology. I was just on the Anchor Bar website (original Buffalo Wings), and their famous sauce has these ingredients. I have contineud to make this sauce and my husband wants to put it on everything. This is truly spot on and delicious!

Salisbury Steak with Mushrooms

This was so great! Needed no tweaking, which I liked. Simple and awesome "comfort food". I had never tried this at home, only out a restaurant from time to time. Made last week with mashed potatos, making tonight over egg noodles. This is a winner:)

Greek Dip

VERY important....as others have said this is a cheese ball type consistency. I needed a dip, as I was presenting in a bread bowl and wouldn't work if made as is. Another reviewer mentioned adding milk and am I glad I read that! I didn't measure, but added a TON and it turned out great. Tastes good, but I'm sure will be fantastic once it sits overnight. With such powerful individual ingredients I think letting it sit overnight for the flavors to blend is probably pretty important.

Butter Cream Frosting II

Awesome,simply awesome. I stuck to the recipe ingredients 100%. Since my husband was frosting a cake for me I can tell you in all honesty I saw that man throw all the ingredients in a bowl, throw the beater on hi for a sec and it came out perfect.....no creaming of margarine and shortening required lol!:)

Donut Muffins

These would possibly be better if they were made into regular muffins, I'm just not sure. Made to the letter and found the nutmeg over powering and no resemblence to a donut. In the recipe's defense no baked item could taste like a fried one anyway. Glad I didn't make for company and will try making as large muffins.

Baked Cider Doughnuts

I lived in NH for years and this is how to make the donuts. I haven't tried your recipe but the ingredients are right on. I remember my first time not really liking them but the grew on me. It may not be what people are thinking of when they think of traditional donut but for what your recipe says it is correct

Lap Salad

This is so great. I bring it to BBQ's and I will admit not too many try it, even when I say it's amazing. I usually bring a ton home which is great for me. I personally use less oil and think I used at least some sesame oil in place of some veg and it made an awesome difference. I added dried cranberries which made a great flavor addition.

Deviled Eggs

Salty; way too salty. They simply resemble deviled eggs made with Miracle Whip, nothing more. Please, at the very least omit the salt if you try this. My husband and I will pretty much eat anything, so I'm really disapointed with these.

Earthquake Cookies

There are not enough stars for me to rate. I used lemon cake mix and they were to die for, I mean really. My mother in law was here and we could all use extra points lol! I really hope you try it. I think many variations of cake mix could be used. Thanks for the great one!

Three Cheese Manicotti

It was good; not sure about the sour cream, just found a weird aftertaste. Not really sure why there was breadcrumbs in the mixture and lack of egg. The fact it was different made me want to try it, but think I will stick with the age old traditional cheeserecipe. Hubby seemed to like it though.
