Awesome Roast Beef

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2006
This was so easy I had time to throw everything in before leaving for work in the morning. My whole family had seconds. I added some sliced onion and a bay leaf to mine, and it was delicious. I made mashed potatoes and used the sauce for a make-shift gravy, the kids loved it!

Shredded Beef for Tacos

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2006
This was excellent. I couldn't find the hot tomato sauce that the recipe calls for so I used a can of regular tomato sauce, and added a splash of hot sauce instead. This wasn't too spicy for my kids and meat just fell apart. I will definately make this again.

Mongolian Beef II

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2006
I followed the recipe to the tee, and it was way too salty for my taste buds. I think if I make it again I'll use half the soy sauce, and maybe more brown sugar and sesame oil. It wasn't even close to the mongolian beef that I've had in restaraunts, but I think I can doctor it up a bit and it'll be okay.

Poke Cake II

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2006
This was super easy and a big hit at my daughter's potluck dinner for school. I didn't even have any left to bring home.

Tater Tot Hot Dish II

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2006
This dish was pretty good. Both my kids like it, and my daughter is super picky. I think the meat itself needed a little extra flavor, next time I make it I'll have to work on that. All in all it was good, not great, but good. I'll probably make this one again, only a little different.

Chicken Coconut Curry

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2006
I wasn't too impressed with this dish. The sauce was okay, but the chicken had no flavor whatsover once bitten into. I think if the chicken were to be marinated in something, or if this were a slow cooker recipe it might have been better. I will not be making this again.

Salisbury Steak Supreme

Reviewed: May 22, 2006
Delicious! My whole family loved it. I've made salisbury steak before, but with mushroom soup, and they didn't like it as well. I will use just a little less worchestersire sauce next time, but other than that it was perfect!!

Baked Zucchini Chips

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2006
I was not impressed with this recipe. It was very dry, and not very flavorful. I wanted a healthier alternative to fried zucchini, but this did not do the trick.

These were a little salty, but all and all they were pretty good. Super easy to make.

Marinated Flank Steak

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2006
This was really good. My whole family loved it. And I had enough for a topper for my salad the next day. I'm doing the South Beach Diet and this was perfect, the family didn't even know it was healthy.

Mexican Shepherd's Pie

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2006
This was really good. Kinda like a chili and corn bread all-in-one. My whole family loved it. I'll definately be making this again, maybe even for my next potluck at work.

Sauteed Garlic Asparagus

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2006
I love that this recipe because it's so easy. Who doesn't have butter and garlic in their kitchen? I like my asparagus a little more tender, so i looked for about 15 minutes, total. This was great, will definately make again.

Chicken Marsala

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2006
This was delicious. I used chicken tenders instead of breast, and I didn't flatten them. I also added 1 tsp of cornstarch at the end to thicken up the glaze. My very finicky kids, who don't even like mushrooms, ate this with no complaints. Plus, it was super fast, a bonus for us busy moms.

Texas Hash

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2006
I thought this was a little bland. I did only use 1 Tbsp chili powder, for the kids' sake, but I could probably have used the 2 the recipe calls for. The flavor was very tomatoey and the meat didn't have much taste. I will probably make this again, but next time I'll add garlic salt and maybe some celery other veggie to the dish.

Hamburger Steak with Onions and Gravy

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2006
I really liked this recipe, and so did my husband. My kids, however didn't care for it, I don't know why. It reminded me of a salisbury steak, but with onions. I'll probably make it again, but next time I'll give the kids theirs with no onion. I served mine with Brocolli and cheese sauce.
