Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2014
Made this all the time as a kid. It does have a funny texture but it was still good.

NuNu's and Hot Dogs

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2011
I have mixed emotions about this one. I can definitely see how it is kid friendly. I had leftover hotdogs and egg noodles so I mixed this up I didn't use any measurements. If your a garlic fan I would definitely add some. I've started making this without the hotdogs just the noodle part with garlic as a side dish.

Beef Tips and Noodles

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2011
If your looking for something to knock your socks off this is not it BUT if your looking for something easy without much prep and still tasty this is it. I highly recommend cooking this in the crock pot. I used a flat iron steak I had and it still came out very tender. I prepped it the night before threw it in the crockpot the next morning before work. If your feeding 4 I would probably double the sauce. As written there are way to many noodles left over.

Orange Honey Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2010
This was just ok. To me it was to sweet but thats just me. I only used half the oregano called for but you could still taste it. I guess it just wasn't my thing. I used thin chicken breast and they came out very tender maybe it would be better with bone in chicken?

Quick Zesty Chili

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2010
I liked this recipe it very easy. I did not use fresh tomatoes as i did not have any. I used a can of tomatoes and left out the one cup of water if you like thinner chili then you should add the water. It wasn't super spicy so if you like it really spicy i would had more hot sauce or red pepper. i did add a little extra chili powder.

Kicky Steak Strips with Rice

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2010
Really liked this one. I used 1/4 of Worcestershire and 1/4 cup of soy sauce but that is what we like. Next time I think I will use sweet hot mustard instead of plain yellow.

Creamy Vegetable Cheese Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2010
I think maybe it should be 3 stars but since I made some changes maybe it was my fault. I liked this but it was a little to cream of chickeny. I put in one can of chicken broth and one can of water so maybe you do need the other quart of water. I think I wanted a cheeser soup maybe if you replaced one of the cans of cream of chicken with cheddar cheese soup? My husband really liked it so maybe it was just me.

Sunday Gumbo

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2010
Not quite gumbo but great none the less. You have to change the ingredients to your taste. The second time I made it I used Cajun seasoning and not oregano. i also use a green pepper the second time because I thought the red was a little overpowering or maybe I used to much.. A great recipe to put you own touches on.

Funnel Cakes

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2010
Very good recipe. Next time I will try adding vanilla. Fried mine in a wok. It makes it easier to flip also used a metal ring that I had from a funnel cake kit to help keep its shape. There was something a little off in the texture in mine maybe I had the oil to hot. The seemed a little to dense but still good we topped with powdered sugar.

Mashed Potato Cakes

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2009
I added cheese and used seasoned salt in mine. I wasn't sure how they would turn out baked instead of fried but they were very good. I do miss the crispy outside that you get when you fry them.

Thai Spiced Barbecue Shrimp

This recipe was pretty good. I'm not a huge fan of curry so next time I think I'll do like another reviewer and use chili paste.

Salmon Spread I

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2008
This was a really good recipe. Like everyone else I doubled the amount of salmon plus I added some extra garlic. Although it was really good I keep thinking it was missing something but I'm not sure what. I would recommend trying this and modifying it to your own taste.

Hash Brown Casserole II

This is really good and easy. I used cream of mushroom instead and topped with french fried onions like others have suggested. I also add a can of sliced mushrooms. Potatos and cheese how can you go wrong?

Tangy Pork Tenderloin

As another reviewer stated do not forget the sauce it makes a difference. This was a little to sweet for my taste. I think I would add more chili powder and maybe marinate overnight.

Deep Fried Jalapeno Slices

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2008
These were pretty good and a great way to use up some jalapeños from the garden. It made a lot of batter so I used the extra batter and some leftover mushrooms and they came out great. Next time I will try dredging them in flour first to get the batter to stick better.

Delicious Grilled Hamburgers

This is my new go to burger recipe. If your not a fan of liquid smoke than definitely cut back on that. I used soy sauce the first time instead of Worcestershire because I didn't have any and they were still great. Thanks

Beer Cheese Soup II

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2007
I didn't care for the texture of this soup at all it was very grainy. If I tried it again I would take the recommendation from others and not use bagged cheese. The flavor was ok but it just didn't really work for me.
