the flavors mingle perfectly in this soup into a taste sensation! my husband hates spinach but I didn't tell him what it was and he is addicted to this soup. I make it at least once a month.

I will never buy pre-packaged taco seasoning again. Throwing this in the slow cooker has made taco night tastier and easier than ever.

Green Bean and Canadian Bacon Casserole

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2009
this is the perfect remedy for a cold autumn day! I only had about half the beans the recipe called for so I sauteed some fresh mushrooms with the canadian bacon and stirred fresh chopped tomato into the casserole as well. Next time think I may add a wee bit of garlic powder. Thanks for a yummy recipe!

Cherry Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2009
If you're looking for a restaurant-quality, fruited chicken dish, this is it! It's cherry season in Washington State, so I used 1 pound of fresh Bing cherries, halved & pitted them, then tossed with a couple tablespoons of sugar and let sit a few hours prior to making the recipe. This made enough cherry juice to make the sauce later on. I also opted to bake the chicken in olive oil instead of pan-frying (I left out the flour when baking). When I was done making the sauce, I just poured it over the chicken in the baking pan and returned to the oven for 10 minutes. It was absolutely delicious!

One Egg Lemon Pound Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2008
this is the best pound cake recipe I have found so far. following suggestions from others, I baked it for 50 mins. and it turned out just right. I prefer less lemon taste so I only added vanilla extract. Great with fresh Northwest berries and whipped cream!

Chipotle Roasted Chicken with Potatoes

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2006
I used canned chipotle in adobo sauce; mixed the sauce with the dry spices and rubbed it on the chicken then stuffed the whole peppers under the skin before roasting to get more flavor. I also found it helpful to keep the the chicken and potatoes covered with foil about 3/4 of the way through the cooking time to prevent burning. My husband and I like our chicken with a little zing to it and this is an easy way to spice it up.

I used pita pocket bread and hunted down the chutney, which is hard to find in my town. The cumin/cucumber/chutney flavors are awesome together! Will definitely make this again.

Baked Soy Lemon Chops

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2006
The best tasting pork chop marinade I've discovered yet. When I run out of soy sauce, A-1 sauce will substitute in a pinch. This is the only way I make pork chops now.

Mozzarella Chicken Marsala

Very delicious and easy to make. The only thing I would cut back on would be the onions, I found that using 3 onions made my 9X13 pan overflow.
