Tomato-Cream Sauce for Pasta

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2013
I made this recipe as written (except for the tomatoes...I only had a box of Hunt's tomato sauce so I used that) and it came out absolutely delicious. I'm sure the suggestions for changes are excellent but I preferred to use the original recipe - and it was worth it! Super easy and paired REALLY well with the garlic chicken also on this site.

Curry Stand Chicken Tikka Masala Sauce

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2013
Fantastic. My husband said that it was the best (!) chicken tikka masala he's ever had...restaurant quality. Now I don't know about all that, but it was really really good. And so simple to make. I added a little less sugar than called for and only did 1/2 tsp of Cayenne pepper, as per other reviews. Glad I did, because it still had a pretty good kick! Awesome!

Garlic Chicken

Forgot to rate this! Not much more to say that others haven't said. This is in permanent rotation in my house. Super easy, didn't change anything, delicious.

Banana Chocolate Chip Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2013
Amazing! Really, really yummy. I read the other reviews and did 1/2 cup of brown sugar and 1/2 cup of regular sugar (actually, I used sugar in the raw...had no white sugar) and did 1/2 tsp of cinnamon instead of a full tsp. I also had slightly less flour than the recipe called for (1 3/4 cup rather than 2) and it still turned out absolutely delicious. I made mini muffins instead of bread and baked each batch for 15 min. Yum!

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: May 11, 2012
This was excellent and is going straight to the recipe box. My husband, who isn't always the most vocal about whether he likes something or not was ooing and ahhing over this after the first bite. I did make some changes, as per the reviews: I boiled the veggies and chicken in broth (added a russet potato, cubed) and then saved the broth to use for the sauce. I didn't double the sauce, as some mentioned, but I did mix the veggies/chicken with the sauce (saving some sauce to pour over the top) before adding to the pie crust. I doubled the salt and pepper and also added a tsp of garlic powder, a tsp of poultry seasoning and a dash or two of chili powder. The only thing I struggled with was getting the top pie crust out of the pan and sitting neatly on top of the other crust. Oh well, it didn't look pretty but it sure tasted amazing.

Slow Cooker Pulled Pork

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2011
I, like some of my fellow reviewers, just couldn't stomach the overbearing root beer taste. Yes, it did make the meat very tender but even with the BBQ sauce added (and with the root beer drained about 30 minutes prior to being done), my husband and I could both still taste that sweetness...and we didn't like it. I prefer recipes where the BBQ sauce actually cooks with the meat. I'll stick with those.

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2011
After making this my husband said "this is one of the best meals you've ever made." That pretty much says it all. An amazing, ridiculously easy recipe. Along with a lot of the reviewers here the only changes I made were: used a little bit less brown sugar than the recipe called for and shredded the chicken with about an hour left on the cooking to help the meat absorb more of the sauce. Really can't recommend this enough.

Salsa Chicken Rice Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2011
Absolutely delicious. The only thing I changed was cutting out some of the onion (I did a little more than 1/2 an onion). Otherwise amazing. My husband loved it.

Big Soft Ginger Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2010
Just made these cookies and they're absolutely fantastic. I don't often take the time to write reviews here (bad I know) but had to for these. The recipe is perfect as is EXCEPT that I used a little less sugar than called for in the batter and then just sprinkled sugar over the tops of the cookies before baking instead of full on rolling them in the sugar. I also used orange juice instead of water as per someone's suggestion. Soft, delicious, no overpowering flavors. Perfection.

Chocolate Mint Candies Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2008
I am so grateful for this site because I have found absolutely the best cookie recipes here. I made these for my boyfriend (who I bake cookies for every 2 weeks or so - he's in the navy) and each week he declares the cookies I sent "the best ever". Well these were no exception. He said they are the best cookies he's ever tasted and all of his fellow navy friends all gushed about them too. As a cholcoate/mint lover myself, these tasted absolutely delicious. I followed the recipe to a tee. Thank you!

White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookies III

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2008
I only have this to say: my boyfriend who is in the navy and to whom I send cookies every other week or so declared these cookies "the best cookies I have ever had". And he loves all my cookies. He said they were incredible and that everybody thought so. I did not change a thing. Thanks for this amazing recipe. :)

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2006
BEST cookie recipe I've tried so far! I hardly ever repeat a chocolate chip cookie recipe because I'm convinced there is always a better one out there. I'm not saying I won't try other recipes now, but I will definitely make this one regluarly. My boyfriend always asks me to make these, they were delicious and stayed chewy for two days after they were made (at which point we finished them). I followed the recipe exactly.
