Catherine's Spicy Chicken Soup

Reviewed: May 16, 2007
This recipe was approved by my entire family (all picky). The flavor was awesome and even better the next day. You can't get food spicy enough for my family, even my two-year-old.

Fried Butterflied Shrimp

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2007
You definitely need to halve the batter. I added garlic powder and adobo to the batter. You only need to dip the shrimp. Twice is too much breading.

Baked Potato Soup I

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2007
This is my most favorite soup!!!! I use whole milk and real butter, guess I'm not worried about calories. For some reason my Hispanic husband doesn't care for it so my best friend and I make it when he is out of town. It makes the soup more special.

These are pretty good. I drizzled olive oil over them and cooked them for an extra 20 minutes. My family likes really crispy fries.

Bread Pudding II

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2007
This was a very good recipe. I used the new pillsbury french loaf bread (in freezer section) and it was so rich. I ate mine warm with french vanilla ice cream on top with caramel drizzled over it.

Lemon Sugar Tea Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2007
These are absolutely the best lemon cookies I've had. They have just the right texture. I even burned a batch and they were still good.

Poor Man's Pepper Steak

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2007
This is positively the worst dish I have ever made. I had to ditch it and have my husband pick up some fried chix. To me, it tasted like greasy hamburger meat. I followed the recipe and even took someone else's suggestion of adding beef boullion to the water. I would probably prefer hamburger helper to this dish.

Easy Lemon Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2006
I thought they were good. I would say 9 out of 10 people liked them when I had my church over. I placed them in an airtight container for the next day and they stayed fresh.

Swiss Chicken Casserole I

This recipe was a little bland. But I'm going to make some changes and try again. I will add diced onions, green pepper and possibly crushed walnuts.
