About this Cook
Born in Texas, raised in KY, schooled in NH.
My favorite things to cook
Italian. I have spent the past 3 summers in Italy, I love the home-made feel of Italian. A good meal with good friends warms the belly and the soul
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love my grandmothers banana bread. When we were younger we would go to her house a few days before Christmas and make tons of loaves to be given as gifts.
My cooking triumphs
Roasts and Stews
My cooking tragedies
never never ever add baking soda to boiling blue berries, that is unless you want a blue berry volcano on your stove top....trust me it was an accident, thought it was corn starch...and if the sticky mess wasn't bad enough, i was making breakfast for about 100 people and had to start all over on my blueberry syrup

Coconut Bread
awesome recipe...changed a few things though...i used all almond extract instead of vanilla and almond, then i used coconut molk instead of milk and i added chocolate chips

Pasta and Herbs
one thing that is great to do is to boil garlic cloes in the water with the pasta, this adds flavor to the pasta itself
