Honey Apricot Pork Chops

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2014
This was amazing. EVERYONE in our family loved it! Apricots are not in season here, so I was only able to obtain them in a can. I drained, rinsed, and patted them dry, but otherwise followed the recipe to the letter. Wonderful, will definitely make this again!

Paleo Chorizo Sweet Potato and Kale Stew

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2014
I made this as the recipe was written- to the letter. I am a lover of spice, and this was all heat without flavor. The little flavor it did offer was: salty. We are a family of five and not a single person ate this meal. I used pork Chorizo, perhaps that was the reason? No idea.

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2010
WONDERFUL! I made these for our family Christmas and they were SO good that my father asked if he could sneek some to take home with him! Thank you!!!! My parents are normally pretty hard to please, and these were great! They didnt turn out as pretty as the picture, but that's okay, because they tasted amazing! I subbed chocolate chips for the nuts. Thanks!

Ham with Cherry Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2010
WOW!!!! I made the ham and the cherries and WOW, this was a TOTAL hit. I baked the ham longer- as the directions on my ham said 20-25 mins per pound of meat, and I had a 9 pound bone-in ham. I made everything else exactly as written and WOW, seriously amazing! My brother had dinner with us, and was leery of trying the cherries on the meat because he said he hates sweet meats, but when he tried them together he had 2nds! SO GREAT! I was doing this as a trial run before Christmas, and this will be my main dish on Christmas day! THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Cranberry Orange Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2010
WONDERFUL! This is a great cookie! I followed a few of the other reviews: I used fresh cranberries, cut in half. They were perfect! And I think they added elegance to the look of the cookie. I added Almond Extract (1/2 tsp) I did not make the glaze for the topping, my family thought they were sweet enough as is- so we just skipped it. I found that baking them at this high of a temp for so long did not yield best results. I am at a high altitude, so I added 1/4 cup more flour, turned the heat down to 350, and found that 12 minutes was perfect. Thank you- these are keepers!!!!

Banana and Black Bean Saute

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2010
This tasted just as I thought it would. Really perfect for Winter blahs! Hubby loved it, and the kids enjoyed it as well. It is sweet, but not too sweet, and the beans mellow the flavor. I used coconut oil as the cooking oil, and the bananas were perfect! Yeah, there are a lot of calories... that said, this is a VERY filling meal, and the serving size is (in my opinion) very large (I am a big person, and I couldnt eat my whole portion!). Thank you for sharing! (I forgot to mention, we served this over jasmine rice)

The ONLY reason I am not giving these 1 star is because they are pretty.
