Lemon-Sesame Asparagus

Reviewed: Jun. 5, 2010
This recipe is wonderful!! One of our favorite side dishes. I was wanting to fix this dish with grilled steak but did not have asparagus but did have some fresh broccoli so tried it. It is as good as the asparagus! I cook the broccoli spears ( or flowettes left in big pieces) until it is tender crisp, then follow recipe. As another reader suggested I use less sesame seeds and a tad more lemon juice. Hubby and I love this and eat it quite often for over a year now. Such a wonderful side dish for so many main dishes, like grilled salmom, steak, chicken etc.

Pineapple Chicken Tenders

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2010
Made this yesterday for a Memorial Day cookout. Followed recipe, but marinaded for about 3 hours. I made extra marinade and thickened with corn starch for a dipping sauce (did not use any that had the chicken in it) Today we ate the leftovers using whole wheat flour tortillas as a wrap, topped with the marinade and shredded Mexican blend cheese. They were delicious!! Did not warm the chicken, but did warm the marinade slightly and the tortills. Will definately make this again!!

Eastern North Carolina BBQ Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2008
This is it!!! I lived in ENC for over 16 years and grew to love this BBQ sauce. My son found this recipe and referred me to it. It is the real thing or as close as you can get. I have enjoyed making it a few times now and always swear I hear the ocean roaring as I'm eating it!!!
