Slow Cooker Ham

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2009
Not what I was expecting at all. It had no flavor unfortunately. I really thought this would be excellent, if I was ever to make this again I would have to have some gravy with it for some flavor.

Spaghetti Carbonara II

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2009
I don't know why but I just didn't enjoy this recipe. Perhaps it was because of how oily it was or maybe it needed some more flavor. What ever the reason I don't think I will make it again.

Orange Curried Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2008
This recipe just didn't taste very good to me. I really think that it should have more of an orange flavor, but it doesn't.

Absolutely the Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2008
My cookies came out horrible! I really wanted this to work too. I love cookies, but these came out flat and I even added more flour! Perhaps if you changed the baking soda to baking powder that's the only thing I think would make a difference.

Bev's Orange Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2008
I made this recipe as is and it didn't quite excite my taste buds enough. I felt it was rather disappointing. Orange chicken to me should have a nice orange flavor to it and this recipe had none. Perhaps I could change the recipe more to my liking if I ever make it again.

Easy Roasted Pork

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2008
Wonderful!!!! The name of the recipe is an accurate representation of what you are cooking, its too easy. I made it in my crock pot and every 2 hours or so I would turn it and bast it with the juices. My husband said it was the best pork he has ever had.

Baked Ziti III

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2008
This was absolutely the most delicious baked ziti I have ever had. I halved the recipe and it still made enough for 2 nights with my family of 4. I caution you to be prepared to use 2 casserole dishes if you make the recipe as is.

Grandma's Green Bean Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2008
I really liked this recipe and so did all my family at thanksgiving. It is so different from the traditional green bean casserole. I followed the advice of momma_s and used "FRESH" steamed green beans instead of canned. Reduced the sour cream to 3/4c. Reduced the salt to 1/2 tsp, added black pepper, and 1&1/2 tsp garlic powder with the salt & sugar. Use a large can of french fried onions and mix 1/4-1/2 can into beans, the rest crush with the cracker topping and extra melted butter. Add extra cheese. I made this and also the traditional casserole made with cream of mushroom soup and no one ate the traditional at all they all devoured this one.

Double Layer Pumpkin Cheesecake

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2008
Absolutely wonderful!!! I followed the advice of SOUTHERNBELLE0908 and used 3 8oz packages of cream cheese instead of 2, added 1/2 cup of sour cream (Fold the sour cream in after adding the eggs),increased the pumpkin puree to 1 8oz can and added a bit more nutmeg & Cinnamon. Bake in a water bath at 350 for 1 hr (till the middle jiggles like jello), turn off oven, prop the door open and let the cheesecake sit for another hour then refrigerate. Use a 10in springform pan and shortbread cookie crust. Use caramel sauce & pour over the cheesecake. You will not regret it if you make this recipe it is amazing!!!

Tres Leches (Milk Cake)

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2008
I followed the advice of another member who made 2 changes 1. Use 2 14-oz cans of condensed milk and 2. Use only 10 oz of evaporated milk (2 5-oz cans). I made it the night before and it turned out fabulous.

Cheese Ravioli with Three Pepper Topping

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2007
Fantastic I followed other suggestions and didn't put in as much broth just enough to make the sauce go a little further. I also added garlic to the peppers and onions along with basil and oregano. At the end I added a splash of cream and Parmesan cheese as well. You might want to add some cornstarch to the recipe so it will thicken faster and wont reduce as much , I felt I could of used some more sauce!!
