I'm an Orthodox Christian, a literacy teacher,a hellenophile, and the baby of the family all wrapped into one. I love baking and cooking and give thanks to my parents for making great food and always including me in the kitchen. But more than food alone, I love the friendship and community that comes with a meal prepared in love! I'm a southern girl who comes from a long line of southern/country cooks and as a result, my meals reflect that tradition. It has been said, "The gentle art of gastronomy is a friendly one. It hurdles the language
barrier, makes friends among civilized people, and warms the heart." ~ Samuel Chamberlain. --I couldn't agree more!
