My favorite things to cook
VEGETABLES.... I'm a vegetarian, or more accurately a peschatarian (I eat fish). I have lived in France and Italy. The Mediterranean is wonderful for all the fresh vegetables, specially Sardinia! Finocchi (fennel), rucola (arugala), Mellenzane (Eggplant), Cavolo nero, verza, (Cabbage), zucchini... I could go on forever!
I also love to cook deserts when I have my family and friends to share them with.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Oatmeal raisin cookies where the raisins are soaked in vanilla.
Mexican with veggie meat.
Pancakes, oatmeal, eggs, and soy sausage on Sunday morning.
My cooking triumphs
My most recent favorite is "ceci con una salsa di pomodoro piccante" (chickpeas with a spicy red tomato sauce and fresh Parmesan cheese... deliziosa!
