Gingerbread Men Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2012
So good and they stayed little men when baked! Followed recipe exactly and they turned out great, the dough was a little wet when I went to roll it but just threw down some powdered sugar/ flour mix.

Soft Christmas Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2012
Perfect, the dough was easy to handle and the cut outs did not lose their shapes in the oven. Also not overly sweet so will work well with the frosting! Only sugar cookie recipe I will use from now on.

Yummy Pecan Pralines

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2012
Just made these using heavy cream instead of EM, due to what I had on hand fantastic. Second batch already on the stove!! **UPDATE** Made a double batch to ship out and found that using a cookie scoop to individually drop each one instead of spreading apart and breaking them made them much prettier.

Extreme Banana Nut Bread 'EBNB'

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2012
I did add baking powder and cream the butter/sugar so I think that is what made it so light since many people said it was dense. I will only be using this recipe for banana bread now, so good. I made one loaf and 12 muffins (they baked in 25 mins)

Pancakes

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2012
If using all purpose flour you MUST add 1.5 tsp of BAKING POWDER and .5 tsp of salt. Just made these using Vanilla Silk and they turned out fantastic. Don't be worried about the bad reviews you just need to use self rising or add the bp and salt.

Ruth's Grandma's Pie Crust

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2011
Basically foolproof, I used my food processor and got a little pulse friendly so the shortening and flour tuned to dough and the egg and water didn't want to mix in so I left this big wet doughish ball in the fridge for a couple days added more flour left it for another 2 days because I forgot I wanted to see if it would taste ok baked an empty pie and my dh ate the entire shell. Its great and I am finishing up the last of my mini pies now.

Best Buttercream Frosting

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2010
Really good frosting. I followed another reviewer and made a rue with the four then added the milk. I didn't really get the "forms a ball" part and was afraid of cooking the mixture any longer as it had already gotten pretty thinck. I added almond extract and left the mixtures to beat for about 15 minutes and it thickened up alot.

Ten Minute Enchilada Sauce

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2010
Had a 15oz can of tomato sauce so just doubled the recipe. Had no problems with it being to thin but I made sure the rue mixture was a good color before adding my liquids slowly. Will not buy canned sauce anymore.

Strawberry Cake from Scratch

Reviewed: Jun. 5, 2010
turned out fluffy and delicious. I followed the other reviews of beating egg whites then folding them in at the end. The batter tasted like strawberry ice cream so I made a vanilla butter cream to go on it. Enough batter to make a rocking horse pan and 5 cupcakes.

Walnut Maple Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2009
My pot was to small so I had to pour everything into a bowl then the marshmallows and chips wouldn't melt so I had to microwave everything for 90 seconds. I added an extra tsp of maple, the fudge set soft but that might be my fault I will let it boil longer next time, there will be a next time since this was the best maple walnut fudge I've had
