About this Cook
Full time working mom with a great husband. One daughter who is just amazing and has brought me more joy than I could ever have thought. I would love to be a stay/work at home mom one day.
My favorite things to cook
Cookies, I love to bake and am thinking of opening an inhome bake shop.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Decorating sugar cookies. I remember my mom making from scratch cookies and decorating them, its a tradition that seems to be becoming lost but I hope to share it with my daughter when she is old enough.
My cooking triumphs
Daughter wanted a 3-d dinosaur cake, I made it for her birthday and everyone thought my mother had made it which is a huge compliment.
My cooking tragedies
I was about 12 years old and I wanted to make chicken noodle soup with leftover chicken. I asked my stepmother to get some things and she came back with nothing I asked for. I ended up with a gravy hard potato and carrot slop.

Gingerbread Men Cookies
So good and they stayed little men when baked! Followed recipe exactly and they turned out great, the dough was a little wet when I went to roll it but just threw down some powdered sugar/ flour mix.

Soft Christmas Cookies
Perfect, the dough was easy to handle and the cut outs did not lose their shapes in the oven. Also not overly sweet so will work well with the frosting! Only sugar cookie recipe I will use from now on.

Yummy Pecan Pralines
Just made these using heavy cream instead of EM, due to what I had on hand fantastic. Second batch already on the stove!! **UPDATE** Made a double batch to ship out and found that using a cookie scoop to individually drop each one instead of spreading apart and breaking them made them much prettier.
