Green Bean Bundles

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2010
VERY GOOD! Here's how I made them: bought a big bag of organic frozen green beans. Put about 2lbs in a bowl in the microwave, and cooked for 5 minutes (just until they were warmed through, not really cooked). Poured the marinade over the beans, and let soak overnight in the fridge. Sliced the bacon in half length-wise (long skinny strips) and cooked until just barely light brown. Drained on paper towels, then made the bundles, tying the bacon around them (discarded marinade). Put in the 400 degree over for 10 minutes, and they were PEFECT!

Bacon Wrapped Pork Medallions

Very good! I didn't have garlic powder, so I crushed some garlic instead. I also didn't use the seasoned salt (bacon is salty enough).

Jalapeno Popper Mushrooms

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2011
Very good! I think I used too much cream cheese, though, and next time I will add a little at a time until it's the right consistency. I also like things hotter, so I'll add extra jalapenos. Great recipe, thanks!

I added a can of black bean soup to this, and it was very good. Different recipe, great change of pace.

Oven Baked Jambalaya

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2010
Excellent recipe! My suggestions: 1. check at one hour, then every ten minutes until done. I checked at an hour and it was undercooked, but at 1.5 hrs it was overcooked! My fault, not the recipes, so I still give it 5 stars. 2. Add the frozen cooked shrimp AFTER you take it out of the oven. They just need to warm through, not cook any further. I will definately make this again. Thanks!

Very good, very easy! The only change I made was using Italian bread crumbs. Excellent!

Very easy, crowd pleaser! I think chilling is key prior to dipping in chocolate.

Helen's Stuffed Celery

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2010
I followed the recipe exactly and think that there is WAY too much Worscheshire.... very overpowering taste. I may try to make this again without it, or use just a 1/4 tsp.

Very good, kid-friendly dip. I added a dash of pumpkin pie spice, and it tasted just like "fall"! :)

Great recipe, big hit at my July 4th party! I made it the night before, and I added an avocado right before serving. Excellent non-mayonnaise based salad!

So much better than a mix!! Next time I will double the recipe, as this made about 10 small pancakes and I needed more.

Waffles I

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2011
Excellent, easy receipe. I added a little brown sugar and full tsp of vanilla, and it was perfect. I didn't beat the egg whites separately as others have suggested, but really gave the batter a fast whisking, which made it very fluffy. Awesome!

Marshmallow Fondant

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2010
Great recipe! So easy to make (but messy) and looks SO professional. I made the dough, added the color gel, then wrapped the balls and put them in the freezer for a half hour. I took them out about a half hour before I used them, and it worked just fine.

Gingerbread Pear Cake

Very good cake, and it looked nice. Wish I had used spice cake instead of gingerbread cake, and should have used more pears. I will make this again with those changes.
