Fry Sauce

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2006
If you want this to taste more like Artic Circle you have to add buttermilk. Our Article circle used to use this 'white sauce' (fry sauce before the catsup) on it's hamburgers. If you don't have buttermilk I've heard you could use a bit of dill pickle juice.

Mexican Fire Rice

Reviewed: May 23, 2006
Made it exactly like as instructed. I would use a hotter picante sauce next time or spicier sausage. To me it was just a good rice casserole. I am going to add just a little more rice next time. Recipe was slighty watery. It is good, easy, and fast so I will make it again.

Joy's Taco Salad

Reviewed: May 26, 2006
This is good. Made it exactly like the recipe said. I really liked the dressing. It was nice to use items that I always have at home to make it. For me that is what pushed this recipe to a five. Next time I will add a few more spices to the dressing to give it an extra zing. This is a great recipe for a crowd it makes tons!

Easy Cheesy Chicken I

Reviewed: May 10, 2010
The family really liked this. I served it over tortellini and they gobbled it up. Even the picky one. I put the boneless, skinless, chicken breasts in frozen. Used fat free soup on two of the soups. I sprinkled Italian dressing mix on top of the chicken like so many have suggested. I think that really made the difference. I used 1/2 teaspoon *California Garlic Salt* instead of salt and the garlic powder. I HAVE to give it 5 stars because it was sooooo easy to fix and my family loved it. *I love California Garlic Salt. A friend suggested it to me and now I am never without it in my kitchen. Look for it in the spice aisle. I use it in my salsa and in every recipe that calls for garlic salt.

Million Dollar Fudge

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2010
It was OK but not great. Mine set up fine but wasn't as creamy as my old stand by fudge recipe. You have to make SURE that your sugar is dissolved. If you don't it will be grainy. I will keep searching. Or just go back to mine

White Texas Sheet Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2010
This is a great change from the traditional Texas Sheet cake. Only change....I didn't add the almond I added vanilla instead. This is a yummy recipe! If your family likes sheet cake they will love this. It's my non-chocolate cake lovers fav.

Aunt Teen's Creamy Chocolate Fudge

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2010
This is good fudge. Mine was greasy. The butter came to the top and I couldn't work it in. That is the reason for 4 stars instead of five. Even with that it is still worth making. I will definitely keep working on it until it turns out perfect...why?? Because it is GOOD!! Use the suggestions of having all ingredients measured before hand. I also use Guittard chocolate chips. They are yummy and creamy before the fudge. I think the brand you use makes a difference on the fudge. 1 other suggestion...make it in two pans....hurry and freeze one for later or you will eat it all.

Rich Chocolate Frosting

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2009
This is so good. Nice and fluffy. When I first tasted it I thought it was a little too chocolaty but after I put it on the brownies it was GREAT! I halved the recipe and there was plenty of frosting for a 9X13 pan.

Sour Cream Chicken Enchiladas

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2009
This was really good. I didn't have the jalepeno sauce so I just blended up a couple of sliced j. peppers. Only other ingredient I added was about 1 T of fresh lime juice. I served this with cilantro-lime rice. They are both good on their own but together they are a great combination. The sauce in this recipe would be good in a lot of different recipes I think.
