Jagerschnitzel

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2009
I used butterflied center cut pork chops pounded flat and tenderized. This dish turned out great using the recipe as is. I served with the Spaetzle I recipe from this site and my family loved it. The sauce is the absolute best.

Spaetzle I

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2009
Awesome side dish for Jagerschnitzle. I went out and bought a Spaetzle press after the first time making it as using the chef's knife and cutting board was a major pain!

Yellow Squash Patties

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2009
I would have ranked this 4.5 stars if half stars were available, but as they are not, I rounded up! This is a very good recipe to help use up all the yellow squash I grow in the summer. It has a nice light flavor that is a great side for bbq chicken or ribs. I added in a little garlic for some extra flavor, then dipped it in hot sauce for some kick. Thanks for sharing, I will definately make again.

Fajita Marinade I

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2009
This marinade is phenomenal! I put a flank steak in it overnight and then grilled it over direct high heat 5 1/2 minutes a side and it turned out perfect. I also used some of the marinade when I sauted the vegatables and they turned out awesome. My wife said these are better than the fajitas at our local mexican place. Thanks for sharing!

Artichoke & Spinach Dip Restaurant Style

This is an excellent recipe. I added an extra 1/2 cup of shredded mozzarella and it was perfect. Next time I may add more garlic cloves.

Chicken Cordon Bleu I

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2009
I used Tavern Ham and Havarti Dill cheese rather than Swiss and it turned out very good. I also made the sauce another reviewer recommended (1 can cream of chicken soup, 1/2 cup sour cream, 1 tablespoon lemon juice) and it added a great flavor.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2009
Really good base recipe, but needed added spices/seasoning/ingredients to make it a 5. I followed suggestions and added parsley, garlic salt, pepper, cumin, and frozen veggies. I wish there was an option for 4.5 rating, because that is what I would honestly say it is.

Instead of vegatable oil use cinnamon applesauce! Great recipe, everyone loved them.

Mexican Tinga

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2009
Very good base, but needs a little something more to make it a 5 star. I am thinking of making a black bean/corn combo up and adding it to the tortillas with the meat.

Smoky Chipotle Hummus

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2009
It was good, but not great. I was really expecting some kick, but it was just a little lacking.

Savory Crescent Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2008
A good base recipe that needs some tweaking. I added broccoli florets, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, and some italian seasoning. I would like to try it with condensed cream of chicken soup instead of the cream cheese/butter combo. Overall it was good. Thanks for sharing!

Incredibly Cheesy Turkey Meatloaf

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2008
Very good base to start with, but without tweaks it is a touch bland. I will make it again with some changes suggested by previous reviewers to add just a bit more flavor.

Tantalizing Turkey and Blue Cheese Meatballs

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2008
Very good recipe. I wish I could rate it a 4.5, but that is not an option on this site. I served these with spaghetti and they were devoured. The blue cheese was very subtle and the jalepano/chili/black pepper gave it a nice kick. Thanks for sharing!

Beefy Cabbage Stew

I used some leftover roast from the night before instead of ground beef and it turned out good. A nice stew recipe for the fall/winter. Thanks for sharing.

Yellow Squash and Corn Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2008
This dish had a really good flavor and was a nice way ti "dress up" yellow squash. It took slightly longer to cook than the recipe called for (48-50 min), buit it was worth the wait. I served it as a side dish for grilled BBQ chicken and it hit the spot. Thanks for sharing.

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2008
All I can say is WOW! This was so easy and so good! Even my picky 3 year old ate this up without complaint. It tasted as good as the local BBQ joint. I used Sweet Baby Rays BBQ sauce and a homemade italian dressing as I was out of store bought. Thanks so much for sharing!

Chicken Shawarma

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2008
Great recipe! I marinated the chicken overnight and cooked on the grill and it turned out awesome! I also brushed the pita with olive oil and put those on the grill for 90 seconds or so to get them nice and warm. Served with french fries and it felt like we were at my favorite Coney! Thanks for sharing.

Chicken Breasts in Caper Cream Sauce

This was an excellent dish that tasted like it took all day to prepare. The only change I made was to leave out the salt and double the sauce as so many reviewers recommended. Thanks so much for sharing!
