I wanted to wish everyone in Allrecipes.com a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Years.  This is the time of the year when family comes together.  I have a very loving family and that is what the holidays mean to me FAMILY and love.  I don;'t care about the presents, but I sure do enjoy watching the kids opening there's, and soon to be grandchildren. Mom has already quilted a story book quilt for our first grandchild, and it's not gonna be here until July 2013...  I have room to talk, I'm working on the baby bed.
So, anyhow, again I want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
with tons of love JIM

Mike Harvey: I, like you have been retired for a while. The prosthesis is very comfortable but is still being adjusted so there is no blisters. Anyhow, I wanted to tell you about your fruit cake...OMG! Best ever! Sorry, one never made the curing stage. What a Christmas, I am so blessed with all the people (Chefs) here in AR. Mike Harvey I wish I had your email address, if I talked with you on the phone it would be a 3 hour call. Take care all of you and again Merry Christmas.

Merry Christmas-Congratulations on the new grand baby. A new baby bad from Papa-how sweet. I see a little rocking chair in the future made by Papa for the baby, too. I had a rocking chair when I was little and it was very special to me.

Lela: Yup: Grandpa is thinking about a cradle first so mom and dad can get around easier in their bedroom. I have all the oak cut for the baby bed, just a matter of finishing it,,,(not sure yet), and putting it together. This is a bed I hope they'll have forever, cause grandpa built it.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Congratulations on the new baby. It sounds like you and your wife are getting it off to a great start. Whether it is a boy or a girl, your giving of yourself, your time and your effort, that baby will know it is loved and wanted no matter what. That is the best gift that you can give anyone. Here is wishing you and your family many blessings in the upcoming year! Happy Holidays!

About Me
I am a easy going guy who is always busy. Yes ladys and gents I don't have time for TV. During the winter months I am either hunting or most likely helping down at the church. During spring I am working on repairs outside and getting my hotbox ready for the garden. Summer and fall I am busy canning and freezing what comes out of my garden. I also cook all the meals for the day or event.
My favorite things to cook
I have to thank my mother for this. She broke her ankle when I was 10 years old, and there is where I learned to cook. I am nothing compared to my mother,(she is a true Chef), can make a delicous dish from scraps in the refigerator. Anyhow, I make a lot of bread type, deserts, nationalities.
My favorite family cooking traditions
You most likely won't like this. As a youngster we used to have family reunions and get togethers all the time. We would all go fishing and have a fish fry, and the ladys would bring side dishes and of corse desserts. That has gone now because America is to busy.
My cooking triumphs
Everything I have ever done has been great. I always end up with a empty dish.
My cooking tragedies
None: My daughter burnt popcorn;;; how do you burn popcorn? She said I did it, thats my girl.
