Curry Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2010
This is yummy! I added some halved grapes for an extra little flavor and it was amazing! Even better after a night in the fridge and the curry gets settled into the mix. Great for sandwiches but sometimes I want it too much to pull out the bread!

Baking Powder Biscuits I

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2008
These were great. I changed the recipe by adding buttermilk instead of regular milk. I also used self rising flour instead of baking powder. I think the salt wasn't necessary after adding the buttermilk so next time it won't be there! Very good recipe! Now I don't have to buy the packaged stuff anymore for buttermilk biscuits. One suggestion to other cooks... don't over work the dough. I think I did because they weren't as light and fluffy as I was expecting. I think I over mixed. My husband didn't seem to mind, he ate all but the two I had!

Best Fried Green Tomatoes

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2007
Excellent! We made two changes and it was perfectly suited for our tastes. We used buttermilk(gourmet, NOT low fat) instead of regular and added Ritz crackers to the crumb mix. Simply the best fried tomatoes EVER!

Awesome Steak Marinade

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2007
Love it. Although I cut the recipe way down for 1 night. It just makes too much sauce otherwise. I add a little 'Veri Veri Terryaki' to it and it gives it that finishing touch and makes the gravy too good to waste.... I made some biscuits and we sopped up every bit!

Cheddar Bay Biscuits

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2007
These are excellent. Although I used a Buttermilk Biscuit mix and buttermilk in place of baking mix and water. I followed the directions on the pack for the biscuits, then added the cheddar. Turns out excellent! Although based on a previous review... I will try the dash of 'Old Bay' next time.

Baked Lamb Chops

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2006
I did this recipe with only 2 lamb shoulder round chops. I altered the recipe and added 1/3 cup honey to the egg and Worchestshire mix. I used flavored bread crumbs instead of plain. I cooked them on one side for 20 minutes and then turned them over and drizzled honey on them and cooked for another 20 minutes. They turned out juicy and delicious! Very similar to the lamb I had at a beloved Morroccan restaurant in San Francisco. Will definetly do again!
