Next-Best-Thing-To-Robert-Redford Pie

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2010
I grew up with an easier version, which is just as good, and makes more sense, as it is blonde, just like Mr. Redford! Substitute the crust mixture for a pre-made graham cracker crust. Substitute the puddings with two packages of butterscotch pudding. Substitute the semisweet chocolate with 3 crushed butterfingers. layer: 1/2 cream cheese/cool whip filling 1/2 crushed butterfingers all pudding filling 1/2 cream cheese cool whip filling 1/2 crushed butterfingers Ten minute pie. Super fast, super good.

Easy Peach Crisp I

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2007
My grandma calls this a dump cake. The only difference is that with dump cake, you only dust the fruit with a bit of sugar, flour and cinnamon, then you dump the cake mix over the top and pour a MELTED cube of butter over the cake mix and voila! Bake that sucker until it's golden brown and delicious. The cake mix has nearly enough sugar to sweeten any fruit but rhubarb and strawberries!

Cream Cheese Penguins

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2007
Sorry, thought this was going to be a fun chance to implement a family tradition. NOT AN EASY RECIPE! I got the kids and ingredients and mom-in-law together and we broke olive after olive and while the "survivors" were cute, were not worth the effort! We made 9. Carrot, cream cheese and olive is not a taste blend that agrees with many people. But, those who were not part of the preparation were enamored with them.

Impossible Pumpkin Pie I

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2006
You know, I just love this pie. I've made it many times and it always goes before the regularly crusted pumpkin pie. I don't waste my money on biscuit mix, I make my own from 1c. flour, 1/4t. salt, 2t. baking powder, 1/8t. baking soda. Works just fine. It's also my pancake base. This is an awesome pie recipe. Somebody described it as a custard this Thanksgiving. I'm making it for a CHRISTmas party tomorrow. We're driving for 2.5 hours and this baby travels well! Also, I make mine in a 13x9" cake pan and double the recipe. Forget Libby's this is the best!

Spinach Cheese Ball

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2006
I used this recipe to make a CHRISTmas setting for a group of CREAM CHEESE PENGUINS! How fun! I moulded the igloo out of it, spread a thin layer of sour cream to camouflage the spinach and help the parmesan adhere to the igloo, then I made some small Christmas trees out of the cheese ball recipe for the background, just coated them in dill and dusted them with parmesan as well! My husband is a HUGE fan of the bread bowl filled with Knorr spinach dip and he LOVED this even better! I always have at least half the bread bowl left over. This year I made a double batch of this wonderful stuff and it was GONE! Guests said they recognized the spinach dip but this was a better tasting version!
