Manicotti Alla Romana

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2008
We loved this dish. I did some of the prep work the night before to cut down on time. I cooked the meats the night before using beef and spicy Italian sausage with the onion and garlic, then reheated and added the rest of ing. the following evening. I also used a combination of ricotta and small curd cottage cheese. Thanks so much for the post.

Cajun Roast Beef

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2008
This turned out so good. I didn't have malt vinegar so subbed cider vinegar. Served this with the Brazilian white rice from AR, salad and a crusty bread. Yummy. Left over's were great to if you shredd meat, reheat with some beef broth, add to toasted hoggie rolls, top with mozzerella cheese and broil till cheese is melted. Makes for a great left over meal.

Sausage-Stuffed Mushrooms

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2008
These were wonderful and loved by all. We made 48 of these using the large stuffer mushrooms and also used some different cheeses and pepperoni for the ones that don't care for sausage. Big hit and so yummy. Thanks for sharing.

After the Holidays Ham Bone Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2007
This sounded really different from the old potato and ham soup, but my family did not care for it. I think it was using noodles and rice together. I will try again but only use either rice or noodles. I have really picky eaters when it comes to those ing. Thanks for the post.

Baked Potato Skins

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2007
I made these tonight as a trial run for our party for New Years Eve. I also used smaller potatoes which I put in the microwave to get a little soft as to take the pulp out a little easier. I also cut back a little on the oil and used EVOO. I used a pastry brush on the inside and outside. These turned out great. Thanks so much for the recipe.

Easy Chicken Satay

We thought these were excellent. The flavor was great. I also think that certain members on AR need to quit hen pecking at other peoples recipes. We also love your BBQ Brisket. Yummy. Keep your recipes coming. We love them.

Very good. The only thing I did different was to use the chiptole mayo recipe from this site to give it a little kick. Yummy, great way to use up left over turkey. Thanks for the post.

Homestyle Turkey, the Michigander Way

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2007
I first reviewed this on Nov. 20 but after reprinting it since I lost mine went through the reviews again and decided to update since I seen some had some issues with it being dry and not browning. I used a 23 pound turkey and replaced the water with chicken broth. I used the same amount of butter for the pockets, rubbed it with olive oil and I took the foil off the last hour so it could brown. I also let the turkey rest covered with foil for 30 minutes before carving so the juices would flow back throughout the turkey. After transferring the carved pieces to the platter there was still juices left on the platter after the turkey was all gone. That's how juicy the turkey turned out to be. Nov. 20th review: This makes the best turkey, moist, tender, delish. I found this recipe last Thanksgiving and use it to cook turkey year round. I do add quite a bit more chicken stock (personal preference) and make gravy with the drippings. Yummy

Pork Tenderloin with Dijon Marsala Sauce

This turned out fantastic. I didn't change a think except to sprinkle some parsley over the top for a more appealing look. I'm looking forward to trying this with chicken.

Made these last night, they were great, juicy and full of flavor. Even the one that we cooked well done was juicy and tender. We did grill ours. Wouldn't change a thing. I will use this on other cheaper cuts of beef. Thanks so much for the recipe.
