Army SOS Creamed Ground Beef

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2006
My mom use to make this all the time. Instead of worcestershire sauce and boullion she used cream of mushroom soup. She then poured it over mashed potatos or rice. I prefer this recipe and added extra seasonings. Thanks for the post.

Beef Burger Pie with Cheese Puff

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2006
This turned out pretty good, in place of shortening in the main dish I used butter and used canned rotel tomatoes with herbs and seasonings. I did use fresh carrots and green beans that I sauted in butter before adding to dish. I did use butter flavored Crisco shortening for the puffs. This turned out really well and I will use again. Thanks for the post.

U.S. Navy Minced Beef On Toast

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2006
This brings back my days when I was in first grade, I just had to try it to see if it was the same dish. Pretty much was, they fed this to us all the time. It's still ok, next time I would skip the juice and add an extra can of rotel tomatos with herbs. Thanks for the post and bringing back memories.

Zippy Beef Casserole

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2006
This turned out pretty good since I was in a pinch. I really have tried to stay away from soup recipes, but do keep some on hand when in a pinch. This turned out pretty good. I did add some garlic and extra cheese. Thanks for the post.

Hearty Beef Dinner

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2006
I used this to pour over rice but as it cooked was worried about the flavor of the dish. I doubled the broth and added carrots and potatos making more of a beef stew combo than poured over mashed potatos. Yummy Yummy Yummy.

This turned out really good. We did cook our potatos before adding, after reading other reviews. Went very well with breakfast with over easy eggs and toast. Yummy

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2006
Everyone should try recipes to there liking before making changes. As is we did not care for this, I added onion and green pepper to hamburger along with a little garlic and sauteed, and in place of the juice I added two cans of rotel tomatoes. Turned out pretty good, thanks for the post.

Martha's Vegetable Beef Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2006
This turned out pretty good when in a pinch. I did use diced tomatos with herbs instead of stewed. I also added cooked garlic and onion sauted with the ground beef. I prefer homemade soup and broth due to salt and calorie intake, but this was really good when in a pinch for time.

Hamburger Stew

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2006
We ended up liking this, it makes a fast quick meal when in a pinch. We did add some garlic and just a dash of cayenne. I also used a small single serving can of pork and beans that I mashed up and added so the stew would be thicker after reading other reviews.
