I made around 250 small balls out of a triple batch. I cut the sugar as suggested by another, and was glad I did. I did need 2 batches of chocolate because of all the extra surface area, one I made with butter- big mistake BTW, and one with shortening after much cussing and frustration. The butter-melted chocolate is thick, gloppy, grainy, and difficult to work with. The shortening melted MUCH smoother and creamier. I didnt even need to reheat it while dipping 2/3's of my total candies. There was no flavor loss I could taste. The chips were high quality, and on the bag it even says to use shortening, which is a little less than what the recipe calls for.
I found that partway through, some of the balls were going soft on me :P I laid them single deep on paper plates and stacked on top of each other in the freezer so I could pull out small batches quickly which really helped out a lot.
Good recipe, just watch the sugar!
