Tuna Noodle Casserole I

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2005
This was really tasty, and I was so glad that it did not call for Cream of Mushroom soup. I would recommend either skipping the "baking" step, or making EXTRA sauce. It really gets sucked up into the noodles and mine came out a little dry. I had to add some more milk before serving. But I thought it was great, and I think chicken, or turkey, could be substituted nicely, too.

Baked Corn I

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2005
The first time I made it, I used the Marie Calendar's corn bread mix, which was more mix than the recipe called for. It was delicious, but more like a regular cornbread...very moist and flavorful. I made it last night with a different corn bread mix, that was UNDER the amount called for. This time it came out more like a spoon bread, and oh so tasty! I also took the advice of others and only used a half cup of butter...and it was still fantastic!!

Throw Together Mexican Casserole

Reviewed: May 17, 2004
We liked it for the most part, but it seemed sort of strange with the egg noodles. Maybe I will try it again and mix in rice or something else.

Beef and Bean Chimichangas

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2004
So good, and easy!!! I just used meat and beans. No corn, green pepper or onion, and we loved it. I think I will use shredded beef next time, and maybe even add some potato! They were crunchy and good. Such a great alternative to typical burritos!

Chinese Cabbage Salad I

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2004
This recipe is awesome, and soooo easy. I took it to a potluck and got raves! I am a new mom with not a whole lot of time to cook, and this was so easy to throw together. I also bought a bag of breaded chicken strips. Popped them in the toaster oven, let them cool, then sliced them length-wise to throw in. They were terrific!

Broccoli Rice Side Dish

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2004
This was very easy. I used a cup of cheddar/jack instead of recommended cheese. It turned out fine. Like the onions on top.

My husband and I enjoyed this recipe. Added a little lemon juice while cooking. Great alternative to steaming asparagus!

Cincinnati-Style Chili

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2002
This recipe tastes just like the chili they serve in our fav. chili restaurant. Excellent! I used turkey meat, rather than vegetarian, but it was delicious! Made great chili spaghetti!

Easy Slow Cooker French Dip

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2002
This was TASTY!! So easy to set up in the morning and let it go all day. My husband loved it, and he can be picky. I broiled some buttered french rolls, and added provolone cheese on top of the beef. Delicious! Te meat reheated really well for a second meal with mashed potatoes.

Mexican Casserole

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2002
It was good, but it seemed like it could have used something else. Maybe adding some rice next time would make it better. We have some leftover, and I think it may make a good burrito filling.

Zucchini Delight

Super easy, and was a hit for my family. I used canned, diced tomatoes that were seasoned with Italian herbs. I also sprinkled some extra herbs on tob, and added mushrooms. Great taste!

Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff I

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2002
Super easy, but I stuck with the old-fashioned way and used sour cream at the end. Came out great, and everyone loved it. I did add some mushrooms as well.

Angel Hair Pasta with Shrimp and Basil

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2001
I agree that this recipe might benefit from a little tomatoe paste to thicken it up. Other than that, it was delicious! My company raved about it, and went back for seconds. I also used Linguine noodles, which may have made it difficult for the sauce to "stick".

Asian Carryout Noodles

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2001
This had great flavor. However, I think I will use less pasta next time, and maybe add a little extra sauce. I also think that a noodle that is slightly thicker than angel hair might be better.
