Corned Beef Hash (Abalos style)

This is a simple and wholesome meal... potatoes are the starch so rice is not neccessary or I'd leave the potatoes out of the recipe if one is going to put over rice. Also... I read several people state their potatoes were not cooked through... I always boil my potatoes for about 5 to 10 minutes then I prepare as directed... also I used strained rotel... it adds an awesome flavor! thanks for this recipe!

very easy and just a nice non-complicated fast meal... I added several varieties of spices... cajun spice in a jar was added and it was delish!!!

Bean and Bacon Soup

quick easy to follow directions... just a nice hearty meal... I viewed everyones critic on this.... ranch and baked beans have a totally different taste? I suggest to the person who used baked beans in mollasses... yes that's what was Wrong with your Results... pinto beans are a good 2nd choice if ranch are not available... 5 stars with some tweeking... thanks for this quick meal!

Great recipe... I noticed some on-line did not know what file powder is... file powder is used in Creole dishes... its a spice made from dried and ground sassafras leaves...

Make-Ahead Meatballs

Thank you for this good basic one meat recipe for meatballs... I have several other recipes but, they call for 2 to 3 different types of ground meat... this worked with a bit of tweeking... Thank you again!

Hot Dog Sauce

Great recipe... I love this hot dog sauce and sometimes I add to it when I am trying to make a chili glaze sauce... I use this plus alittle ground beef and chili powder, and a small amount of mustard... thanks

Southern Style Beef Stew

This is a mighty fine recipe... just like Mom's... now some folks on here said something about tough meat.. Well the secret to cooking down tough meat is to seer it first to just brown the outsides... then get out your pressure cooker to cook it down in 20 minutes or less... let it cool down and cook the rest of your ingrediants all together either with the cooker top on or just left open like a regular pot... that tough piece of meat will fall apart and be as tender as you could ever imagine.
