Glazed Meatloaf I

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2013
Great recipe! The hubby said it was the best one I have made! Here are a few alterations I made: Used 1 cup low sodium ritz crackers crushed, equal parts yellow mustard instead of mustard powder...first time around it did not use brown sugar by accident. Was great without it!

Chicken with Buttery Lemon Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2010
Added 3 cloves of minced garlic with the onions and a little salt (about 1/2 tsp.)and about 1/4 cup of parm. cheese at the end of the sauce cooking. I did not have lemon pepper for the chicken, so I used poultry seasoning instead and cut the breast in chunks (and I let it marinade with the rest of the ingredients for less than an hour) and cooked the chicken in a non-stick pan on the stovetop. This adds color to the chicken!! Tossed the sauce in some cooked whole wheat spaghetti, and tossed in some fresh steamed spinach and topped it with the chicken breast and sprinkle some fresh parm. cheese and parsley, served with a garlic toast......better than if I had ordered it at a restaurant!!

German Chocolate Cake III

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2009
My husband requested that I make a German Chocolate cake for his birthday, because his mother would always make it for him during his youth. I had a birthday BBQ in honor of him, and it was a hit!! His mother and father told me that it was the best they had ever had, and she was retiring from making hers!! I am now the official German Chocolate Cake maker in the family! Thanks for sharing your fabulous recipe! I followed the recipe just as it was written. I did however follow the suggestion of not "over mixing" - mine did not "fall apart."

Chicken, Garlic, and Sundried Tomato Pasta

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2007
Very good and easy base receipe!! I rated it a 4 because I had to make some modifications which made it a 5!! I took some suggestions from others and used 2 tablespoons of olive oil instead of butter, added crushed red pepper for a little heat, used parmesean cheese instead of Romano, cream of mushroom 0 because that was all I had and added frozen broccoli in the boiling water during the last 4 minutes of cooking my whole wheat spiral pasta. SO YUMMY!!

Italian Sausage, Peppers, and Onions

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2007
YUMMY!!! This is a fabulous recipe!! Very easy to make - and no alterations needed! I used beer instead of wine - and it was just as good!! Try it with Italian Turkey Sausage as a healthier alternative. I served this with whole wheat angel hair pasta and Paul Newman's Sockaroni Pasta Sauce! Thank you for such an amazing recipe that I will use again!!

Salmon with Pecan Honey Glaze

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2007
Very good recipe! I prepared this for my vegetarian family and they enjoyed it very much! The glaze was a very tasty but a little goes a long way - so you might want to cut the measurements in half (and you don't have to use all of that butter - cut that in half regardless to reduce the fat!!)...left over glaze is wonderful on top of vanilla ice cream for dessert!!
