Sausage, Kale, and White Bean Soup

Reviewed: May 16, 2011
This soup is wonderful! I don't like spicy food so I omitted the hot sauce and used smoked turkey sausage in place of the linquica. I can't wait to eat leftovers for lunch!

Hamburger Vegetable Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2006
Today was our first real cold snap here so I thought I'd make this at work for the guys who work in our maintenance shop. They loved it! Everyone had seconds! Plus the whole building smells wonderful! It was the perfect lunch for this cold & windy day.

Barbie's Tuna Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2006
Ok, no offense, but this was not good. I was surprised as I have never given less than 4 stars for something so highly rated by others. I work with a all men who will eat anything & even they said this was awful. I followed the recipe exactly and was very disappointed in the overall flavor of this. I will stick to the standard from now on...onion, sweet relish & mayo.

Barbeque Halibut Steaks

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2006
This was wonderful! I used Cod instead of Halibut. I made one batch of the sauce, sub olive oil for butter, to marinate the fish in for two hours. Then I made another batch of the sauce using the butter, letting it thicken to a glaze like consistency. Served the fish over a pile of fried rice and poured the sauce over the top. Served stir-fried veggies on the side. DELICIOUS!

American Lasagna

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2006
This one takes time, but it is sooooo worth it! I did add some asiago cheese to the mix because I like it so much. Also cut it into strips and criss-crossed it over the top layer before baking. Looked pretty and tasted devine!

Baked Pork Chops I

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2006
Wow, this was fantastic! I took others advice and added onion soup mix to the breadcrumbs, and also added some to the mushroom soup mixture while it was simmering. Served with Mashed Potatoes & Sweet Peas. Had friends over to watch the Oscars, they left with the recipe.
