I have lived on my own since i was 16yrs old. My first meal i ever cooked was a disaster! I have tried over the years many things, i have had many success and many failures as im sure we all do, i am an exact cook but i also can throw things together and make them work, thanks to Jamie Oliver.
My favorite things to cook
Lasanga, bake cookies and cakes. I love restaurant quality food and try to do the same at home, so i make lots of different salads, pastas, and try to make different things all the time.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I was brought up on snags (sausages) and 3 veg and chops and 3 veg and Macaroni cheese. Every sunday we had brunch which consisted of eggs, bacon, mushrooms, onion, tomatoes and toast, all cooked in alot of oil. Every sunday dinner was a roast of some sort.
My cooking triumphs
Getting Lasanga right for the first time without the burnt edges and still hard pasta sheets! Cooking Greek style lamb and salad with crusty bread for my in=laws and they loved it.
My cooking tragedies
where do i start :). I cannot for the life of me cook stew or casseroles in a slow cooker (crock pot) i remember the first time i tried, someone told me to add 1 cup of cornflour, it was like cement!
