I'm getting a degree in French and Francophone studies at the University of Michigan, and will be studying abroad next year in St. Louis, Senegal. I live in a cooperative, and have to cook dinner on Tuesdays for about 20 people. I'm the only vegetarian in the house!

Kosheri, a Congolese lentil dish; mostly anything with lentils; easy Chocolate cake; Sweet potatoes; cauliflower
My favorite family cooking traditions
I have always been proud of the fact that my mother always made things from scratch. But one specific tradition is my father's birthday, where my family gets together and we eat lobster! It's the one time each year we get to indulge in this treat.
