Penne with Vegan Arrabbiata Sauce

good recipe. I too, cut down the quantity as it made too much. I adjusted the preparation of the pasta by draining it while it was still quite al dente and then putting it in a hot non-stick frying pan with the amount of sauce that I wanted. I heated it through for about a minute and the pasta took on more of the flavour of the sauce. (grandma's trick)

Tuna Noodle Casserole IV

I added in the tuna and spices suggested by other reviewers as well as decreasing the milk. My family absolutely loved it. This will definitely be something I make often.

Very Simple Spelt Bread

This is wonderful! I made a half recipe and divided it between two mini-loaf tins. I kept them covered with identical mini-loaf tins for the first 25 minutes and then uncovered for the next 35 minutes. I perfect alternative to wheat bread; next time I'll try it with dried cranberries or some of the other add-ins that I've seen suggested.

Sweet Sourdough Cookies

These were okay. I found them lacking taste and consistency. The second time I made them I added chocolate chips, and that helped a bit. I don't think that I will be making them again.

Fragrant Millet Pilaf

This turned out wonderfully! What a nice change from rice. I enjoyed the combination of flavors, especially the addition of the orange rind. I didn't add the tomatoes, and didn't miss them...I will definitely be making this again.

Angel Food Cake III

This cake was wonderful, just like I remember having as a child! My guests loved it, served with whipped cream and fresh strawberries. I can't wait to make it again and try it with peppermint flavored whipped cream, the way my mom used to make it. In addition to covering the cake with aluminum foil, after 20 minutes, I then turned the heat down to 150°C after 30 minutes and a left it in the over until the timer went off at 45 minutes. The result was a beautifully covered cake, which was moist but not too wet.

Matzo Brei

My children really needed something new around the middle of Passover, and this fit the bill! My daughter has already asked if we can make this again after the holidays are over. We also liked it with sugar, but I can imagine how good it will be with maple syrup.

Passover Chocolate Torte

This was just fantastic, much better than any other dessert at our passover party! It didn't last 5 minutes before it had totally disappeared. I didn't frost it, and it was so rich and chocolatey on its own, I was glad that I left it "natural." Thank you Leah.

Patty's Mashed Turnips

I agree with another reviewer who had trouble with the turnips. I am new to boiling turnips and mine turned out extremely wet. I wasted a lot of time trying to get some of the excess water out! Perhaps turnips need to be boiled a lot less than potatoes?
