Curry Stand Chicken Tikka Masala Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2014
I agree with another review, spices need adjusting for my family's taste, it is way too salty ! also too much cayenne pepper for me. I cut back on all the other spices, I cant imagine using the full amounts it calls for. The flavor was good otherwise. Served with brown rice.

Yummy Honey Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2011
This is a very good marinade, next time, I will add red pepper flakes and more garlic. I used low sodium soy sauce, so it needed more salt. I used boneless thighs, cut in small cubes, preference over breasts. Also used zuchins cubed, and fresh pineapple cubes. Follow Sous Andy's review about grill temp. It worked for me.

Apple Strudel Muffins

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2011
I used cinnamon and nutmeg, they were still bland. I used extra apples, grated and chopped, baked 10 minutes less time than suggested, and they are extremely dry. Way too sweet to even be called muffins. Not worth keeping this recipe as written.

Chicken Enchiladas II

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2011
This is for all the people who revise, add, and lterally change a whole reipe to their likings. If you want to submit your own recipe, do it! Dont try to change someone else's recipe. To write a book about how hubby, or 2 yr. olds , teens, or whoever, likes, or dislikes, eats, or doesnt eat, is a bit sensless. Most readers do not care what your family food perferences are, they are interested in hearing about the recipe. I get so tired of reading stories liike some people submit, I dont even want to read them anymore. I want to read how they liked the recipe, and short comments, or tips how to make the recipe easier, or better, not how to change the whole recipe, and talk about family dislikes. Its a waste of readers time. Or.. do like the website suggests, make your changes to the recipe and save it to your own recipe box.

Simple But Awesome Lemon Pepper Pork Chops

Reviewed: May 31, 2009
I found this very bland and very dried out even though it was sitting in a poole of moisture that accumulated inside the foil. Visually they were not appealing either. I wouldnt make it again.

Beef Stroganoff III

I used petite sirloin steaks sliced thinly, no need for long simmering, omitted mushrooms, served with sprial pasta noodles. Mustard is key. Also just used 3 T flour, very good recipe.

Italian Summer Squash Polenta Bake

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2006
Polenta frying was a mess, lot of oil popping, and it never got crisp, it was not worth the work that goes into it. Too many vegetables, not enough sauce, I added more and it still was not that great. Just a soggy vegetable casserole, will not make it again.

Eggplant Bake

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2006
This is absolutely the best recipe I've ever made. I will never use another eggplant recipe, this is IT! It's so good. I didnt have Italian bread crumbs, used garlic crumbs and sprinkled a little Italian season on top. Ran short on egg mixture for dipping, also layering wasn't perfect, but didnt matter.I served it with Spinach Orzo salad, good combo. I will serve with Italian,or a Rustic bread next time! I am trying to post a picture for this recipe, hope it works. I love this recipe.

Ciabatta

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2006
I made the sponge day before, today the bread, its the worst. I know ciabatta is bland, but was worse than bland, not to mention the recipe a long drawn out process, mixing little dabs of this and that in little bowls here and there. Just wondering if anyone else put a damp towel on loaves to rise, how ridiculous, was that! Like laying a towel on a pile of thick glue, I had to scrape all the gooey dough off the towel, then of course nothing left to rise again, plus all the hoopla of stones and paper and transfering from this to that.I finally gave up, put it in the oven to come out looking like a flat glob of tasteless nothing. I will not try this recipe again.

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

I made and served this with Pesto Chicken Florentine. I used about half the parmesean cheese, and it tasted great, easy reheated, and can be thinned with milk. Thumbs up for this recipe! Its going to my recipe box.

I used full bag spinach, next time will use more, used 2 large breasts which was plenty chicken. I used Quick and easy Alfredo Sauce, by Dawn Carter. It only got better the second day. Used Penn pasta, will try linguine pasta next time.Dawns sauce was easy to reheat and thin down with milk. Both are keeper recipes.!! In a word, Excellent.

Cottage Cheese Chicken Enchiladas

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2006
Followed recipe, a little too salty for me. Next time would use half the taco mix and no salt in the cheese mixture. Not sure how the chicken is supposed to brown with the green chili sauce, too moist to brown, does not seem nescessary to brown it.And the instructions for mixing the taco mix was confusing. They tasted better the next day warmed over.
