Slow Cooker Pineapple Pork Roast

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2007
This was very tasty and so easy to make! I will deintitely make again. Husband liked it and the kids ate it and didn't complain--so it's a keeper in my book! I did add some brown sugar to the pineapple cranberry mix--we like everything sweet! It deserves 10 stars for how easy it was to make!

Chantal's New York Cheesecake

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2007
This is a very easy cheesecake to make. I made it for a friend's birthday and everyone seemed to love the taste. However, I was somewhat disappointed that even after following the directions to a tee and doing a water bath--the cheesecake had a HUGE crack!!! Definitley NOT very pretty! I will definitley make again but not cook as long as the edges also turned a little too brown--I am sure it's just my oven!!!!!! :) Overall a very easy and delicious cheesecake--just wish I could figure out what to do to keep it from cracking! Any suggestions are appreciated!!! :)

Cinnamon Roasted Sweet Potatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2006
I liked these sweet potatoes but still LOVE the old fashioned candied sweet potatoes which of course are slathered in butter and brown sugar. I am sure these are a much healthier alternative. Easy enought to make but I had WAY to much oil?? I would definitely cut back on the oil and just moisten the potatoes with it. I didn't use the lime juice--didn't have any but perhaps that is the secret ingredient? I may make again but cut back on the oil. Thanks for a good recipe!

Awesome Sausage, Apple and Cranberry Stuffing

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2006
This was very good and my husband who doesn't like stuffing said this was good--which is the ultimate compliment. My 7 and 3 year old would not touch--thinks it may be a little fancy for some little ones. I did not add the liver, added a LOT more broth which you will definitely need to do if you like your stuffing moist and I baked early in the day--let the flavors meld and just reheated for dinner. Not difficult at all to make and very dellicious--just remember to add more broth if you don't like dry stuffing! :)Thanks for a very good recipe.

Eggnog Cheesecake III

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2006
This is a 5 star cheesecake but I only gave it 4 stars because it just didn't take "eggnoggy" at all to me or my guests. I followed the recipe to a t except I used a standup mixer and extra nutmeg and baked with a water bath. The water bath helped with the cracking but still had one big crack. It tasted rich and delicious and I will certainly make again but was disappointed somewhat that it did not taste more like eggnog---next time I will follow another reviewers advice and add more eggnog. Overall it was a delicious treat on our holiday day!!!!! Seasons Greetings and thanks for a good recipe!!!

If there is any way to screw up a candy recipe, rest assured I can find a way!!! HOWEVER, this recipe is awesome and not even me could screw it up!!!!!! Holiday Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2006
This was easy to make and delicious! Definitely better after it sits for awhile. I did not add the green pepper b/c we are not fans but good without it! My husband said it was a "keeper" and my 7 year old even ate it--my 3 year old would touch it but that doesn't mean a thing! I think with the nuts, onion and cranberries it may be a little too adventurous for "some" young childrens palettes???? Thanks for posting -I will be making it again in the near future!

I made these into muffins for my daughter;s birthday at school. I made extra and not a one came home!!!! They are delicious and a big hit with kids---I left out the coconuts and cherries--can't wait to try it with those!!! Two thumbs up-thanks for the recipe!!! It made 24 muffins and I cooked for 45 minutes.

Sauerkraut Casserole

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2006
I am in shock! My 3 year old tried this and asked for more!! He is the world's pickiest eater other than my 6 year old who did not like it--but that means NOTHING! LOL! I loved this--did rinse and drain the sauerkraut, cut back on the pepper and used real bacon bits and petite diced canned tomatoes ( I am lazy!)--this was AWESOME!! I loved it and will make again soon--will cut back on sugar next time just to reduce calories but it was great and I enjoyed it sweet! I am German and this is the real deal!!! :) Thanks for a great recipe!

Blackberry BBQ Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2006
I used this recipe on Easter with a 2.5 lb pork tenderloin in the crockpot. My family didn't hate it but they didn't love it either. It very well may have been the pork tenderloin, or perhaps I screwed up when I doubled the sauce--but for some weird reason the sauce had an odd aftertaste--a little bitter????? It was very easy to make and considering there are so many rave reviews, I will make it again!

Cheesy Potato Casserole

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2006
Very easy to make and delicious!!! Certainly not a health food but really good for special occasions. I took other reviewers suggestions and used 1/2 mayo and 1/2 sour cream-it was delicious. I thought my kids would go crazy over this but neither one seemed to care for it (they're 6 and 2 so who knows) but hubby and I loved it!

Christmas Breakfast Sausage Casserole

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2006
I was really excited about making this recipe due to to all the 5 star ratings. No question that is was VERY simple to make the night before --I followed directions to the letter and it turned out nicely but my family just didn't care for the taste (sorry)--I will make it again but take other suggestions and add some chiles,onions,etc--I guess as a Texan I think everything has to have some spice in it!!!!! The taste was not bad but just a little on the bland side for my family's tastebuds!! Thanks for a very easy to prepare recipe!!!

Pecan Snack

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2006
I would give this recipe 10 stars if I could!!!! My 6 year old daugher and I made these for her class for Texas Day--we were asked to make something with pecans so this was perfect!!! I did follow other reviewers advice and used 1 cup of sugar and a tbs of cinnamon--also made a double batch!! WOW--they were awesome and made the house smell great!! They tasted so good we could not stop eating them--I feared there would be none left for my daughters class!!!!! LOL!!! Thanks for a great and EASY recipe!! I just needed to add something--I was at my daughters school today and was BOMBARDED by the teachers AND kids wanting this recipe!! It was a huge hit--even with 6 year olds!!!!!! Thanks!!!

Make Ahead Breakfast Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2006
I hate to be the spoiler here but my family did not care for this casserole!! In all fairness-I made with all reduced fat ingredients and I am sure that affected the outcome. However, we did not like the croutons--they seemed soggy and not very tasty?? Even thought I love spinach and my famiy doesn't, I thought it would be okay since it was mixed with lots of other ingredients but I think that if you don't like spinach--you should leave it out or not make this casserole. I am sorry we didnt care for it--I was really excited about the reviews!!!

Italian-Style Shredded Beef

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2006
I thought this was pretty good and certainly very easy--which I loved! I did add some minced garlic but other than that followed the directions to a tee--it was good on buns with reduced fat provolone. It's pretty healthy--only 4 ww points for the meat but I do agree it's pretty salty--will cut back on the bouillion next time!

Chinese Cold Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2006
I didn't want to rate this recipe b/c it wouldn't be fair to the original poster however I wanted to share my experience so no one else would make the same mistakes I did!!!! I tried to lighten this recipe with whole wheat fettucine and reduced fat PB--and while I added more fiber and reduced the calories--I could not eat the salad. I will make again and follow the original recipe and I am sure it will be delicious!!! I have lightened up many recipes with great success but this was NOT the case with this one!!!!

Cowboy Skillet Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2006
This was a really easy to make delicious dish! My 2 year old and husband kept saying "Mmmmmmm" with each bite!!! I followed directions exactly except used very lean groud beef and did add a little chili powder--it is a keeper. Made with lean ground beef--7% fat--it is only 7 weight watcher points for a hearty serving. Thanks for this recipe!!!! :)

Super Easy Slow Cooker Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2006
No question --this is super easy and as a mom of 2 small kids--I will certainly make again. I followed the recipe exactly minus the marsala wine and it was delicious--and I did sprinkle the chicken with a little garlic. I thought the chicken was very moist and the sauce was great--I spooned it over my green beans. Also--very healthy--only 5 weight watcher points for a filling serving!!!!! A keeper!

Chicken with Sausage and Dried Fruit

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2006
I love the fact that this recipe was very easy and healthy. I personally did not like the end result--I agree with another poster that the sausage flavor kinda drowned the flavors of eveything else. The chicken was however, extremely moist and I will always use frozen chicken breast when using the crock pot--it worked great. Even though I was not a huge fan of the flavors of this recipe my husband came home really late and ate it reheated in the microwave and said he loved it!!!!!

One Pot Tuna Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2006
I love that this recipe was so easy but it was a little bland for my family's taste. I think with a little tweaking it will be a keeper! I did cut back on the noodles from 16oz to 12 and that was a good thing--can't imagine having any more than that. Next time will use another can of soup, tuna and more cheese with some spices. Very easy and quick!
