Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2007
Oh my goodness! I'm no cook, but my family was thrilled with this recipe. I took everyone's advice and used 1 can of cream of chicken and 1 can of cream of celery. Because my chicken wasn't boneless, I boiled it until cooked, and removed the bone before cooking all day. We need more veggies, so I added a regular size can of peas and a single serving can of carrots. I was worried when it finished thicker than I imagined. It was no problem, everyone loved it all the same. You'll be surprised at the results shown on your families' faces!

Gourmet Sweet Potato Classic

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2012
A HUGE hit at Thanksgiving!! We camp over Thanksgiving and have a hard time finding dishes to make in crock pots for ease of use. Everyone loved this recipe. I used truvia and splenda for sugar substitutes and couldn't tell that anything was changed. We baked the potatoes in the dutch oven first. I love this recipe!

This is easy peasy! I followed the directions to a T. It was the first thing our guests finished at our Thanksgiving Day feast!

Debdoozie's Blue Ribbon Chili

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2012
This is so quick and easy. We made it on a camping trip and there was none left! Serve with shredded cheese and chips. We had a jar of Newman's Mango Salsa that we used. Sounds strange, we were worried, but it was delicious!

Aunt Anne's Sesame Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2011
Yummy!! I'm very impressed by the way these turned for our cookie swap. The only thing I messed up with is that I didn't have enough sesame seeds. I bought a canister thinking it would be plenty, but the recipe calls for ONE CUP. I ran out. Oh well, still yummy!!

Mad Hatter Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2011
This was soooo yummy!!! I bought only 1/2 c. of the slivered almonds. Instead of sunflower seeds I had pine nuts (and only 1/2 cup of those). My Mom (68), 2 kids (13 and 15), and I (45) loved the salad. I'm curious as to how the leftovers keep. It's probably going to be soggy. What a great salad!!

My go-to recipe and crowd pleaser from my mother-in-law. I had to add it to allrecipes for easy access. Try it, you'll like it! :)

California Chicken

Yummy!! We didn't marinate the chicken. I guess we just followed the recipe word for word and it was delicious! This will definitely be something we make again.

Basil Tomato Soup

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2010
I love this soup! It's so delicious with some chunks of tomatoes. I ate it for 4 meals. My daughter's not a tomato fan, but my hubby and son loved it too. Great recipe! I'll definitely make more!!

Red Broccoli Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2010
I loved this! I followed the recipe exactly as stated. It was so good to me. My hubby didn't like it and a couple of others didn't love it like I did, but there were a couple who ooo-ed and aaaah-ed over it like I did. I don't think it'll win everyone's hearts.

Cooky Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2009
Wow!! These cookies are GREAT!! I am NOT a cook. Ask anyone, but I needed cookies for a cookie swap. These were so easy! Not only were they easy, but I made tons of cookies. I used the teaspoon scoop as recommended and the cookies kept coming and coming. Both of my kids wanted me to make more for their BS/GS troop Xmas parties. Anyway, it's a hassle free easy to do recipe with yummy cookies! Stick to the 12 minutes cooking time or they'll come out too hard.

Caramel-Filled Chocolate Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2008
I'm not a cook and found this recipe rather easy. I took the advice on here by freezing the Rolos for 30 min. and refrigerating the dough for 30 min. before putting out. I also ran out of time; didn't dip in sugar/pecans or drizzle with white chocolate. My kids loved it and it was perfect for the cookie exchange I had!!

Artichoke Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2010
Totally yummy!! I think all of the mayo makes it not as healthy as I'd like, but it was a yummy change for the family. My daughter's very picky and she LOVED it. She's not a mayo person either, I didn't tell her it was a huge part. Definitely a recipe to keep and make later!!

Baked Spaghetti Squash with Beef and Veggies

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2014
This was so good! At first I was sure about the spaghetti squash. I'm not a fan of squash and I've never had this. The more I ate, the more I loved it! We didn't have a green pepper or "Italian" diced tomatoes. I took others' advice and increased the oregano and basil. I will definitely make this again!

American Lasagna

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2010
Takes a little bit more time to make than I'd like, but very good. My kids love Stouffer's lasagna, but it's so salty and full of preservatives. This lasagna tasted similar, so they loved it, but I could tell it was definitely better for everyone. I'd love to make more to freeze and pull when needed. Yum!!

Slow Cooker Stuffing

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2012
I like my stuffing crispy. The flavor of this is wonderful, but it was too moist for me. Maybe it's because I dumped all of the 4 c of chicken broth in at once. Next year, I'd like to add it as needed. I love the taste of celery, onions, and mushrooms as I take bites, but it was all mixed together as one mushy substance. It sounds like we didn't like it, but it was all eaten by the 6 of us. It's hard to find stuffing for the crock pot to cook while we're camping. I know this can be perfected to be less moist. It takes the longest of our dishes to make, but it's so worth it!

Spicy Garlic Lime Chicken

Pretty good recipe. Very easy to make. The family ate it up, so that's good. I thought it would be extra special, but I think I've had too much chicken lately.

Country Green Beans

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2012
We cheated and used canned green beans. They were eaten and loved by many. A yummy basic bean recipe with some flavor and zest instead of just beans. (Easy to do while camping for Thanksgiving in the crock pot).
