Carrot Cake III

Made this today for my mom's birthday. I did not make the frosting, so it might have affected my rating for it. I found it a tad too sweet for my taste but overall it was good. My mom liked it, so everything's good. Next time i'll make it with frosting and less sugar =)

California Grilled Veggie Sandwich

OMG i love this recipe! Am student and need something quick and easy. I used wholemeal bread and added some potato breaded chicken breast in the sandwich, just needed the protein. I didn't have squash, so i used mushroom instead. Whatever it is, it was quick, easy and tasty and i am definitely stuffed right now * rubs tummy* THANKS for a great recipe!

Chili con Carne II

I have never eaten, much less cooked chili and today is the first time i made it. I skipped cloves and cinnamon and I halved the recipe since i only have half of the amount of the meat. I improvised on the chillies ( xtra chilli powder and cayenne) and i topped it with red pepper flakes. So mine was extremely spicy and it came out salty and sour-ish. Some family member liked it, others loathe it but i personally loved it :)

Florns' Chinese Steamed Fish

I love this easy dish. Ive had my fair shares of chinese food ( seeing that my mom is half chinese) but i could never make it as good as her. The only additional thing i did was that, i coated the fish with salt, pepper and garlic ( i love garlic. I put the veggies around the fish so that it could be coated with the juice and sauce :) Great stuff!

Orange Roughy with Citrus Sauce

I had followed everyone's advice on reducing the lemon and lime and added extra orange juice. I also added black pepper with salt and coated it with flour since we like it hot here at my house. Definitely would try it again and everyone at home liked it, even though it was not something that we usually make at my house.
