Buttercream Icing

This recipe is very simple. I use this on my 3D stand-up cakes, and every birthday cake. I do use real butter. I have tried using margerine, and it is not that great. I don't change the amount of sugar, because it has a perfect taste at 4 cups. I would suggest to double the recipe if you are using it on a 3D stand-up cake. That way, you will be free to work with as much as you want.

Classic Red Velvet Cake

This recipe was not very good...I had to add a lot more shortening than it said was very dry. I think that the recipe needs some work. I made it for a family get together, they hated it. I have never made a bad cake before...this one just didn't work.
