My boys!!!
About this Cook
Mother of 3 boys (and 1 big boy I lovingly call my husband!) I love to spoil them with good food, and also try to be as healthy as I can!
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake - so I don't get to a lot because I don't like to keep too many sweets in the house.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Any type of holiday cooking
My cooking triumphs
I can't cook meat very well so anytime I can find a recipe that I actually do a good job cooking the meat, its a keeper for me!! (I'd really prefer to omit the meat, but I have a meat loving family!)
My cooking tragedies
A lot of things didn't taste too good - but nothing too gross and comical.

Waffles I
I thought I made a mistake somewhere because my batter was so runny... but the waffles cooked to perfection. They looked beautiful- but they tasted very "eggy". The kids ate them, but said they were gritty and asked if I put corn meal in them! I guess I'll keep looking....

Playgroup Granola Bars
My go to recipe!!! Kids love it and you can play with the ingredients! I use coconut oil, sometimes peanut butter, add chia seed and flax, coconut flakes, cranberries, etc (not all at once, of course).

Chickpea and Edamame Salad
I made this recipe exactly as written with exception of peppers (we don't care for them and I feel they overpower). The only thing that I think the recipe needs (that isn't written) is it needs to sit for AT LEAST a day. I will make again - 2 days before. I will add the cranberries the day before and the sunflower seeds the day we eat it. Flavors go great together!
