This recipe trumped my grand-mother's recipe. I did make one slight modification...I cook it in a cast iron skillet and reduce the sugar a to about 1/2 c. This recipe made me giggle when I first read it. The first part tells you to work in a skillet and then pour into a baking dish. I immediately knew this was an OLD recipe and should have been cooked, stove-top, in a cast iron skillet and then transferred into the oven to bake. It is a light, sweet old-fashioned yummy recipe! My family loves it so much that I have to double the recipe and make two batches at the same time!!
