About this Cook
My favorite things to cook
Anything that didn't start in America. I love to see how other cultures use food to express themselves. I also love finding the weirdest ingredients. At one point in time everyone who looked in my pantry asked where I was from originally? When i have always been form LA.
My cooking triumphs
For a romantic meal for two i did a taste around the world. It was fairly cheap (except wine) and very easy. It was a whole lot of fun too. I started with a Japanese shitake soup, Middle Eastern cheese puffs (the dog even ran off with one!), French style mussels with white wine, and a South African milk tart. Pair with a white and red wine it was the best i ever did! Got all the recipes from the web site too!!!
My cooking tragedies
When I was 15 or 16 i was making brownies while the parents were away. Well instead of grabbing the vegetable oil i grabbed the vinegar. Tasted like chocolate covered lemons... i still cooked it and made my little brother eat one. I was pretty funny.

Lamb and Rice Stuffed Cabbage Rolls
It was better when I used uncooked rice as opposed to already cooked rice but amazing every time!

Pad Kee Mow (Drunkard's Noodles)
Very delicious... way to many noodles however.

Indian Chicken Curry (Murgh Kari)
This was wonderful. If you dont have the spices already this could be pretty pricey the first time around. I had some leftover leeks in the fridge and they did great in it too. Nice and spicy just the way I (and apparently everyone else) like it!
