Gourmet White Pizza

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2010
I always make a recipe "as is"my first go at it, so for first timers, it's great. However, I used only 3/4 of the sauce, because it seemed like a lot, and I'm glad I did. Anymore would have been too much. For the calorie conscience people out there, I substituted the regular alfredo with Buitoni light alfredo and the feta with Athenos reduced fat feta. It was still amazing. I thought the garlic was a tad overpowering, so I recommend downing it to 2 tablespoons. I served this with side salads and it was a great, complete meal. Good luck and a enjoy!!

Key West Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2008
I thought this recipe was awesome, following several suggestions. For3 breasts (most packs I found in my local grocer came in three), I used 2 1/2 tablespoons of soy sauce, 2 tablespoons of honey, 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil, 2 fresh limes, squeezed dry, 2 teaspoons chopped garlic and I added a "pinch" of cayenne pepper and 1 teaspoon of meat tenderizer to the marinade. It was perfect. I wouldn't have used any less or any more of any of the spices. I added diced red potatoes, tossed in light olive oil, 1 teaspoon of garlic, and a little salt and pepper baked at 425 degrees for 25 min., and steamed asparagus as sides. It was incredible. Even my fiance, who isn't a big fan of healthy eating, loved this!

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2007
This was out of this world! I loved everything about it! I took the advice of soaking the noodles instead of cooking them, and that helped keep them together while serving and eating, a problem I have run into with other recipes. I would increase the sugar just a little the next time around, bc I love it a little a sweeter. Overall this gets two thumbs up and is a must try - At least just once!!!

Baked Ziti III

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2007
I thought this recipe was good, not great. I followed others advice and added garlic to the beef as I was browning it and bought sauce with mushroom and italian sausage in it. Overall, I was not enthused by two things : 1. The sour cream was too much. Next time I will try ricotta cheese and cut down the amount to be added 2. The basil was overpowering. I would definitely reduce the portion from 1/4 to maybe a table spoon. This recipe is worth a shot, and I would make it again, I just don't know how often.

Savory Vegetable Beef Stew

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2007
I liked this, but I wouldn't use the flour mixture in the end. I loved it before I made the yeast mixture, and definitely would love it without it!

Cheddar Beef Enchiladas

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2007
My boyfriend and I LOVED this recipe. I followed another reveiwers advice and added a medium onion and a clove of garlic to the meat as it cooked. I also added my own little twist and used Rice A Roni's spanish rice. It takes 20 min to cook, and I suggest adding salsa to that as well, but it makes the dish absolutely loaded with flavor! Excellent dish for now, or to save for later!

Carol's Chicken Chili

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2006
I'm not a big fan of healthy cooking, but this was great! My husband and I loved it. I used ground cayenne pepper instead of crushed, and might add a little more next time to make it spicier. It was quick, easy, and healthy. My kind of meal!!

It was good, but a little more bland than I had expected. I would try it anyways, maybe you will have better luck.

Aussie Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2006
I am just a learner, but wow. It's not only a really easy recipe to follow, it's way better than the restaurant that it compares to. I added mashed potatoes and broccoli and it was phenomenal. If you want to impress guests, this is the way to go.
