About this Cook
I have a beautiful little girl that keeps me on my toes that was born March of 2009. I enjoy cooking more big family meals. Not an expert by any means but I have come up with some great dishes that we continue to bring to the table, I am always looking for inspiring dishes! Im not a fan of fish or seafood so that limits our meat items to mainly chicken, pork and beef. Maybe we will eventually spread to some other items such as lamb, duck etc if i can ever get the urge. :)
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook with chicken. There is sooo much you can do with chicken and i seem to always have a new idea to use it with. I always have plenty of chicken stocked up. I also LOVE pasta, possibilities are endless with it. And Cheese, who doesn't like cheese right? Keeping the basics on hand and stocking up on seasonings is a must. You would be surprised at the ideas you can come up with based off of things you have in your cupboard.
My favorite family cooking traditions
We have an annual cookout at our home, we grill out some fantastic dishes and I make my friend famous potato bake and mac and cheese bake. It's great to see everyone enjoying the food and somehow we never have left overs!
My cooking triumphs
I have mastered alot in a short amount of time, i finally have the space and items to work with so it makes it so much easier for me to go on ideas or instinct and just be creative.
My cooking tragedies
Besides our stove catching on fire once from something being spilled on it i haven't had too many tragedies as of yet. It was put under control quick and it was just the burner burning off the liquid but it was still scary and smokey.

Grilled Brown Sugar Pork Chops
This was really good, I didn't think it was too sweet at all. I added a tad more soy sauce but it was perfect. Great recipe!

A Good Easy Garlic Chicken
This was a great dish! I wasn't sure that I would like the garlic but it came out perfect. I did not have onion salt but the rest was just enough.

Bacon Wrapped Chicken
This was a good recipe. I also made the few suggestive changes. I used sour cream and provolone cheese as substitutes. I also put 1 slice of bacon inside each of the chicken breasts prior to rolling and then sprinkled the top of the mixture with additional pieces of crumbled bacon. Served with egg noodles and poured the sauce over the egg noodles upon serving. This was an excellent dish!
