My father was in the Air Force so I traveled a lot. When I grew up I also joined the Air Force and kept traveling. I was stationed in Germany so I learned a little about snitzels and wine. They do have some good wine.
My favorite things to cook
I like to search this web site and find recipes that have 5 stars and the more reviews the better. I haven't had any problems with any of them yet. I cook a lot of chicken, and I have found some really great receipes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
During the holidays I love to get together with my sisters (especially one of them, Tammy)and bake cakes, cookies,candies etc... I am the oldest of 5 and both parents have passed on so we used to have dinner at my house every year. However, now I have moved away from them and holiday cooking isn't as much fun. I still do it but not as much or many dishes.
My cooking triumphs
Triumphs: Hmmm... over the years I have had a few I guess. The first time I made a Standing Rib Roast I was so nervous because there were going to be several people I had never met (not to mention the cost of the roast on someones else's dime). When the roast was done I had so so many compliments. Everyone loved it!!

Best Ever Crab Cakes
My first time making crab cakes. They were quite delicious. I live on the Gulf Coast in FL so we had blue crab. I followed the recipe pretty close however I wanted a little more spice so I made up a cajun seasoning using salt, dry mustard, onion powder, garlic powder, black pepper and cayenne pepper. I didn't have any tarragon so I used the cajun seasoning instead. Then after I mixed it up it was a little wetter than needed so I put panko bread crumbs on the outside and fried in coconut oil! The hubby and I were very happy! ! Great quick easy recipe.

My Best Clam Chowder
This was the first time I have ever made clam chowder and it was a hit. I read some of the reviews and I agree that bacon makes a big difference. I omitted the carrots but used everything else. It turned out fantastic. I will make this often. I might end up weighing 500 pounds.

Chicken Parmesan
This is by far one of the best chicken recipes ever!! My husband loved it. I followed the recipe exactly and it turned out wonderful. Definitely a repeat recipe!
