Very easy to make and yummy. I used half the recipe to fill a cake and i added the zest of one lemon for a lemony taste.

Miss Betty's Super Quick Dinner Rolls

These were super quick but I am giving it 3 stars b/c I had to had 1/2 tsp garlic powder to make them taste good...I found them a bit tasteless..I made them again with whole wheat flour instead and they were much better.

Red Pepper Soup

This soup was awesome. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is b/c I made some changes after reading other people's reviews. I added salt. Also I used water instead of chicken broth. I replaced the heavy cream with evaporated milk and added 1 tsp of red pepper flakes. I didn't completely puree it. It was delicious and I can't wait to make some more.

Black Bean Vegetable Soup

This soup was really good but I made a bunch of changes. I didn't have any carrots so I omitted them. I divided the recipe in half. I didn't puree the tomatoes and black beans since I was feeling lazy. I used fresh tomatoes and frozen corn. Also I added salt. It finished really fast and my husband absolutely loved it.

Roasted Brussels Sprouts

We've never eaten brussel sprouts before and I was always hesitant b/c I've heard people saying they are not good..but these were AWESOME!!!!! So easy to make and so delicious....The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is b/c we found the inside to be tasteless...next time I will slice them in half, season and then put them in the oven. We also tried these on the barbeque and were really good too....

Easy Pie Crust

I used this recipe to make little tarts with vanilla pudding and chocolate curls. The dough was very easy to make and use. I reduced the salt to 1/2 teaspoon as others suggested but I found this to still be way too salty. Next time I think I will add just a pinch of salt and increase the sugar.

Mom's Ginger Snaps

These were tasty but I'm giving a 3 b/c I didn't think they tasted like Ginger cookies..more like cinnamon cookies to me. I didn't add the cloves, I increased the cinnamon and ginger by 1.5, I used olive oil (I don't know how much this affects the taste), and I replaced the molasses with honey. I also reduced the temperature to 325 and baked for 7 minutes (I found at 375 the bottoms were burnt. Next time I make these I would use 1 tsp of cinammon and 1.5 - 2 tsp of ginger. They were very good cookies but lacking in the ginger taste. I didn't have any trouble with shaping the dough and didn't have the need to refridgerate the dough. I only dipped the top of the cookie in sugar. They were super easy to make.

Chicken Jalfrezi

I used fresh tomatoes. The red chilli looked like too little so I doubled it (we like our food really spicy). I also added a green pepper at the same time I added the cilantro. Jalfrezi always comes with green peppers in it. My husband thought this didn't taste like what Chicken Jalfrezi is supposed to taste like. I thought it tasted yummy. I would make it again but maybe reduce the tumeric a bit.

Fava Bean Breakfast Spread

I didn't like this. I thought the beans smelled gross. I didn't use the liquid from the can b/c I was scared it would make it smell worse. I used water. I replaced the parsley with garlic as others suggested. I found a quarter cup lemon juice was too much. We mixed the cooked Fava Beans with yogurt and ate it so it got rid of that smell. I think it would have tasted better if we mixed it with hummus. I'm giving it 3 starts b/c for some reason my husband really liked it. I wouldn't want to eat this again.
