Dutch Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2013
My family liked the cookie, but not with the chocolate. I think they would be best with a vanilla icing.

I followed the directions exactly and these were very bland. I also did not care for the texture.

Mexican Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2012
Love the ease and ingredients in this casserole. It was a big hit at my house for my husband and 3 teenagers. I did add chopped white onion to the hamburger meat while it was cooking. I also added a little taco seasoning along with the chili powder like the other reviewers suggested. I put some of the cheddar on top of all the layers too. This recipe is definitely a keeper.

Buttered Biscuits

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2006
Very, easy recipe for biscuits. I cut them out instead of dropping them. The dough was easy to work with. I added a small bit of salt too. I baked them at 425 for a little longer than suggested. These had a nice light and layered texture.

Best Ever Corn Muffins

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2004
This was a good recipe, but too sweet and not enough corn meal for me. I also would rather not taste vanilla in my corn muffins. The texture and ease were great. I sprayed my muffin tins and they came out beautifully. Check them early, mine were definetely done by 20 minutes.

This is a good recipe that makes twelve good size muffins. Next time I will double the sugar and use quick cooking oats instead of regular. They were very moist and light.

Burrito Pie

This recipe was great. My husband loved it. It makes a lot but it didn't get wasted. We ate it several times for leftovers. It was just as good two days later as it was the first time. I'm permanently adding this to my recipe box.

Grandma's Corn Bread Dressing

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2003
This was a good dressing recipe. I will make this again but will cut the sage in half. The flavor was pretty strong with an aftertaste, but the texture was great. I can't wait to try this again.

Sausage Balls

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2003
These are great. You just can't beat the 3 ingredient combination. It makes so many too, which is good because they go fast. I got about 94 sausage balls just following the directions exactly. I did get quite a workout mixing the ingredients together. I also make sure to grate my own cheese because it's moister. I think the texture and taste of these sausage balls is just perfect. This recipe has been permanently added to my recipe box at home. It's a keeper.

Mrs. Sigg's Snickerdoodles

great recipe. I get a lot of compliments every time I make them. I do cut the cream of tarter in half. I don't like the after taste it gives if you get to much of it.

Almond Coconut Chocolate Cake

Incredible recipe. It's very rich, like eating a candy bar. I've made it twice and had problems with the icing overflowing, so I'll use a bigger pan next time.
